It's odd considering the only decent one was the first one.

That's awesome, Bond definitely deserved it. I'm not sure where to rank Skyfall, but it's gotta be one of the top 3 Bond films of all time, if not the best.

No, not really. As I have said before I didn't hate TDKR. Not to say that I liked it but it didn't piss me off like TDK did. And while I liked Skyfall, I didn't love it like I loved Casino Royale. So no, I have no reason to break out the back flips here. They're rather hard to do at 291 lbs. anyway.

Hmm I think a lot of people had the hobbit topping a billion especially with the 3D and all. Does it still have a chance or is it's run over now?

China, so it should get there unless for some reason its bombs there which I doubt.
This is not a disappointing total by any means but I really thought it had a shot at $1 billion from overseas alone. |

Oh yes, Les Mis is bigger than Django or Titanic 3D. I expected it to be as phenomenal in box office as Sound of Music and Grease were in their time....

Does the Hobbit have a chance of surpassing TDKR's overall gross as well?

I get that SOM might have more universal appeal in some sense, but I also guess that people's taste have changed in the last five decade ... I wonder how would SOM do today? |

I wish it would as it's a much better movie but it probably won't.
