I'm also really looking forward to it. In many ways I feel lucky there is even a sequel cause the first wasn't a huge hit but I loved it.

I'm with you. I'm happy it's getting made. I remember hating how little it made opening weekend, knowing so many people were missing out on a great film. Once the DVD came out it picked up a lot of of word of mouth and I think it pushed it so we could get this one. I will always remember how the first one made me feel watching it for the first time, esp. Dave's speech as he saved that dude from the beating in the parking lot. Made me feel something no other comic themed movie had. Really wanting to see more pics and soon a trailer |

I remember watching the first film in theaters the day it came out. And it was the same day I saw Aaron, Chloe, and Chris at C2E2 at an autograph session. I was pretty early in line and asked staff if it was possible to take a picture with them. She said I couldn't, only of them. A buddy of mine was in line too somewhere in the middle and when we met up outside the room, he was like "Dude! People are taking pictures with them!". I was like "Whhhaaaat??" So yeah, lost out of that opportunity. Hopefully they're invited again to promote KA2, haha.

At least you got a pic of them though. On the commentary for Kick Ass Vaughn talked about an extended cut. You see some cut scenes being filmed on the making of. I hope we get the extended cut , would make sense to release it leading up the sequel.

What's everyone's favorite action sequence from the first film? I'm always back and forth between the big daddy warehouse sequence and the hit-girl rescue sequence. They both have awesome music, and love the editing during the big daddy sequence. The best thing is all the action sequences have a reason, their not just there for the sake of action. Hope the sequel is the same regarding this.

I kinda love the scene with Kick-Ass on the the jet pack shooting the crap out of the office. What makes it hilarious is the Elvis version of 'Glory, Glory, Hallelujah' playing over the top.

It would have to be Hit-Girl rescuing Big Daddy and Kick-Ass for me, there is just so much emotion in the scene, and to see her go from ass-kicking heroine while saving them to little girl who sees her Dad die is just heartbreaking.

http://necaonline.com/39180/products...-asst-case-14/ I just preordered these. Red Mist's new look is interesting. It's like a punk rock villain look.

When's everyone's guess on a trailer? I'm not too much on knowing how early they come out or, if their is even anything close to a pattern with movie release dates and trailers.

There was a rumor for February 19th but Mark Millar denied that. I'm getting anxious for the trailer. Curious how their going to sell this one. I don't think they sold the first movie as good as they could have. I mean that movie had amazing action but they didn't play it up in the trailers. On the plus side though it was nice to not have all the"cool" parts given away.

I thought Millar just said he wasn't sure he'd have the trailer to show at his Glasgow Film Festival panel the same day? I didn't take that to mean the date was not accurate.

The director tweeted yesterday that he had just left a marketing meeting talking about trailers and movie posters. So many soon.
On the first one what sold me was the R rated trailer I had never read the comic. The trailers showed in theaters didn't really express this had any kind of serious tone to it, and at some points came off silly (Kick-Ass dancing and Red Mist's car come to mind) to the public I think. |

If any one of the 4 composers were to come back, I would want it to be Henry Jackman. Yes, I loved John Murphy's stuff, but most of what he brought to the table was just re-purposed from his previous scores. Jackman was the only one who came up with notable pieces that were really exclusive to Kick-Ass, imo.

Well..yeah, he wrote the theme. Also, the collaboration of the final fight music was great too.

Yeah that music during the flight at the end is great.I'm sure even as just the producer Vaughn will make sure the music is done well.

There is an internet film writer I follow who said he saw 20 mins of footage from KA2 and that it was "awesome" . I want a trailer already.

^Good stuff, although thats never an indication of a films quality, think the same was said for the likes of Green Lantern and X3. I do hope Wadlow manages to hit it out of the park though, but Vaughn is a tough act to follow.

I'm remembering Ebert's review of the first movie and how he hated it, if this movie is as brutal as the comic was then he may hate this one even more.

^I believe they have made some changes from the book, specifically the notoriously violent scene's like the gang-rape. I'm sure the film will be just as violent as the first, if not more so, but not as bad the book supposedly is.
