will she be still powerless or will her powers have returned? keep in mind that she won't have the ms. marvel powers portrayed yet..

Which is the lesser of two evils, for her to gain her 'additional powers' (if they go that route)?
1. As a reaction to the cure.
2. Steals them from someone other than Ms. Marvel?

It doesn't make sense for her to gain those additional powers as a reaction to the cure. She should just get her absorbing powers back, but doesn't have to necessarily steal the Ms Marvel-like powers from someone. They could be dying and they allow her to take it to carry on the fight. It's entirely plausible that another couple of mutants could have super strength and flight.

We saw huge lines of mutants taking that cure and I doubt they are all going to react and develop random new powers, so I don't like that idea for Rogue.

We already discussed who she might steal them from, except these threads go round and round on a loop like some kind of washing machine and we end up saying the same thing over and over as every new person arrives! The person I suggested was M = Monet St Croix, who has similar powers to Ms Marvel.

But can you really see Anna Paquin's Rogue flying around and punching through buildings??? It's a bit of a stretch.

I wouldnt like the superstrenght on Rogue at all.

As long as she flies from time to time and use the power of some of her team mates, it would be fine.

to have a x-men with one of them really powerfull, it would be unrealistic to have all of them fighting at the same time when in many cases the events could be stopped by just that character.

In Age of X timeline, Rogue was known as Legacy or Reaper, she "reaped" the memories of dying mutants. Perhaps in DoFP she reaps the powers of dying mutants, and as an effect of her powers returning after the cure, she can recall the powers at will? That would be interesting.

one of the things I loved about Evolution show was that, that Rogue absorved not only the powers but the memories.

Always thought that would be a smart move for this franchise. That could bring to many interesting plot twists and events.

Mind powers and memory vissions are some of the powers this franchise hasnt explore at all yet, so would be really appreciated if Bryan brings more of that on the next movies

I like the idea. Fans want Rogue to do something action oriented and so does Anna herself. There will surely be deaths in DoFP, such a good opportunity for power displays.

I think just one scene of superstrength Rogue kicking Sentinel ass would be more than enough.

I don't need to see her keep those powers...Rogue is plenty interesting with just the one power, and this obviously isn't the comics. A nod to the comics powers would be satisfactory.

Hopefully we'll finally see Rogue in an action scene, throwing a car at a Sentinel, punching the leg of a Sentinel, throwing Wolverine at a Sentinel.. just anything.

Yeah, even if she had those powers first thing on screen with little to no explanation I dont think anyone would complain because its been something everyones been waiting for since X1.

Im being a bit sarcastic. I dont think its as hard to pull off as many think though. She needs to be better represented at any cost imo.

Rogues one of my favorite characters, but shes been horrible in these films.

The notion of a broader truth to her energy absorption was hinted at in the first two films. She steals powers but also possesses a vast amount of energy in order to do so. They can explain that in the original trilogy she simply hadn't figured out the full extent of her abilities but did after she relapsed from the cure. She discovered that by exerting said vast energy she could gain flight & superhuman strength.

Yeah, Getting around the Ms Marvel thing isnt that tough.

As long as shes fighting and not whining it will be a huge upgrade.

People act like they are such purists when it comes to the comics, Rogue being included in that. So how can it be that they demand Rogue be the Rogue they remember/like (which by the way, isn't the only way she's been since her inception) and then are so whole heartedly for skipping around Ms. Marvel.

I'm all for Rogue displaying a wider range of abilities in the films and I'd love to see her flying and punching through walls. But that's not the sum of her character and I believe that X1 and X2 portrayed her beautifully and naturally and set her up for something great. So let's get her flying, let's get her tearing the head off of a sentinel, but let's not pretend that that'll be the moment the films rang true for her character.

Wolverine and the X-men portrayed Rogue with only absorbing energy from others but made her a proactive character that worked well.

Too many want her to just be like the 1990's animated show version.It took Rogue a lot of devolpment In COmics to get to that point.

I am more Intrested In character devolpment that was ruined In Last Stand.
