I never gave this show a thought because I hate vampires/fairies/zombies/etc.

But, the girlfriend had me dl them and we started to watch (rewatch for her) them. We went through all five seasons in 11 days. OMG, this show rules!

I love how we get the day-to-day world of vampires and see quirky **** happen between them and humans. Eric is by far my favorite character. I also love Jason (his story-lines might be dumb sometimes) but the actor is wondeful. I love his little actions and movements he does to add depth to Jason, making him real. His interactions with Andy are the best...

So, pumped for s6.

Rankings; Love them all but they rate over eac other by how much I hate a plot line...
s3 - (nothing to hate, perfect season)
s1 - Amazing, but not enough of what makes this show tick and kick so much ass. Not it's fault by any means, was still "growing"
s2 - MaryAnne was sort of dumb, hated the fact more that Tara too so long to figure it all out.
s5 - AVL was under-thought (killed Roman too soon) and the Lillith / Terry & Patrick stuff was dumb.
s4 - Hated the whole Marnie/Witch thing, so stupid and annoying.

I really loved season 3 as well but that isn't usually the consensus with most people. Personally seasons 2 and 3 are my favorites then I'd say 1 and 4. 5 was for the most part just horrible

Blood, nudity, vampire teeth, wolves. The usual.

Tommy and his parents were introduced. Russel Edgingtom, Alcide and werewolves, were-panthers and Hot Shot (most disappointing part of the entire show for me) revelation that Sookie is Fae. But the best? Franklin mother****ing Mott! Watch how fast I type mother****er

True Blood Replaces Showrunner

That's... odd timing, consider they're not even done with the season.

I almost wonder if giving the role to a complete outsider might be a better idea than handing the reigns to someone else already on the staff. Someone who might be a little more comfortable looking at what's been done lately and going "Look. You guys have got a ****ing mess here. Let's hash this thing out."

This doesn't bode well for season 6.

For real. But that old SOB needs to focus on Books 6 and 7 before he even THINKS about any TV.

Deadline says they're currently filming episode 4. If there really was a mess of things, hopefully they're early enough in the process to work it out.

I really don't even care anymore. Last season basically killed any excitement I feel for this show anymore. Of course I'll watch still but bleh

I quit watching at episode 6 of the last season.

I was going to stop at season 4 but Chris Meloni joined the show had me actually looking forward to it again. Then he left and so did any interest I still had in the series.

Don't miss it at all and doubt I will ever get back into it.

That entire Ifrit storyline last season should've been the end for Terry and Arlene. Either both of them dying, or Terry dying and a devestated Arlene packing up her kids and getting out of the hellhole that it Bon Temps.

Andy and Holly, vaguely enjoyable as they are, are just another subplot this show doesn't need, and with the birth of his Fae kids, you know he's going to get a big one this coming season.

Basically all of Bon Temps can be burned to the ground.

It would go a long way towards improving this show.

Have we heard what part Billith will play this season?

Given the note last season ended on, I had assumed season-long big bad.

I thought as well, but then I remembered this is True Blood. He will probably be wasted or killed in some anticlimactic fashion.

Question: I long for hot weather when vampires and werewolves take their clothes off! Any True Blood scoop? —Jenilee
Ausiello: Yep — I can tell you with whom those vampires and werewolves will be stripping down! She’s Violet, a hot-as-hell, tough-as-nails blood-sucker in, give or take, her 600s (though she’ll look about 25). Not only do I hear that she’ll be mixed up in a major love triangle, the role will go from recurring this season to series regular the next.
