I am old school and still think the best games are from the original Nintendo. So my top 15 are:
1. Dragon Warrior 2. Dragon Warrior 2 3. Shadowgate 4. Mega Man 2 5. Star Tropics 6. Super Mario Bros. 3 7. Mike Tyson's Punch Out 8. Legend of Zelda 9. Adventure Island 10. Tetris 11. Castlevania 12. Contra 13. Donkey Kong Classics 14. Final Fantasy 15. Rampage! - honorable mention: Smash TV |

Hmmm, this is tough.
I can't put them in order so I will just list 15 of my favorites. The Legend of Zelda: Occarina of Time The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Super Mario Bros 3. Super Mario World Metroid Prime Super Metroid Metal Gear Final Fantasy IV/VI which was II and III on the SNES Mega Man 2 Metroid Super Mario Galaxy The Legend of Zelda Contra III Dragon Warrior Excite Bike Bah there are so many more I want to put on there, but I'll keep that list shorter. I would have loved to add Bionic Commando, Ninja Gaiden I and II. Super Mario Bros, Punch Out, Tetris, Super Star Wars trilogy, Super Ghoul's and Goblins. I could go on and on and on.

For original NES, I would always play Metroid and Spy Hunter. In 8-bit metroid had a very creepy other-universe feeling.
