Karl Urban for Boba. Movie bombs, then fan(boy)s finally realize it takes more than passion to make a movie work.

When it rains, it really does pour. I'm all aboard a Boba Fett movie, especially one set between TESB and ROTJ. It will be interesting how much Shadows of the Empire they include, if any.

I'm calling it, Kasdan is writing the Solo movie and Kinberg the Fett one. Which is why the former is "safer" than the latter, in my mind.

Yay, because it's gonna be exactly that, and not more akin to his ESB actions/persona!!!!!!!!!!

Look, lets not forget even Marvel had to play it safe before taking big risks.

Hopefully we'd see some of his disintegrations!

So, 2 hours of him hanging around in the background while other characters do important stuff? Wonderful.

He's pretty awesome in the expanded universe, and although he got a crappy death, why are people so mad they're finally giving him a chance to show the cool things he can do while in his prime? What's so wrong about a potentially great Bounty Hunter movie that takes place in the SW universe? |

a solo Boba Fett movie can actually work and would be pretty badass
as much as i love Han Solo, he's my all time favorite Star Wars character, it's gonna be damn near impossible to see anyone else in the role besides Harrison Ford |

Kinda worried about the Boba Fett movie just because I haven't been totally thrilled with Jango Fett or the guy they got to play him. Aside from that the Star Wars underworld is definately one of the universes strong points so I'm sure I'll end up loving both these movies. Besides maybe Han can finally go back to being that scoundrel who shot Greedo in the bar and was "just in it for the money"

I'm pretty excited for the potential of both.
For my money they should definitely get relatively unknown actors for the Fett and Solo roles. Last edited by James; 02-08-2013 at 01:50 AM. |

If it's his movie, why wouldn't they show him doing stuff that's important to him, no? But I could already tell this is just gonna go in circles so we'll have to just see whenever they announce actual news.

I know it's sacrilegious but I don't get the Boba Fett love.
He barely does anything in the movies besides walk around looking cool and falling into a pitt.

With Solo I think there's more of a chance for the storytelling to fall into the trap of showing things the audience already knows about or coming up with droll explorations for the vague hints given in the original films. That was one of the issues with the prequels and left many wondering if it would have been better to leave certain things a mystery (I'm look at you, midichlorians).
The Boba Fett is more fool-proof. There's a lot you can do with that character as kind of a wandering bounty hunter/Yojimbo kind of figure. Just going on adventures.

If it wasn't for the fact he's too tall and the wrong ethnicity I think Chris Hemsworth would make for a good Boba.

I'd go for Terminator or Neo-type casting. Well, the former more than the latter. Not necessarily a great actor, just one that suits a certain archetype.

If they aren't using Temuera Morrison wont they have to keep the helmet on? which in Boba's case is a full cover job. Unless of course the fact Boba is an unaltered clone of Jango allows him to look different.

I think they can either go the Dredd 2012 route, or they can recast freely. I don't think Boba is a character THAT bound to its actor or his ethnicity. Besides, your explanation for not getting Temuera back is enough for me (and most people, I'm sure).

I'm excited for these movies but I want a Grievous spin off movie soon. Like I have stated before those that know his back story know that it is up there with the others as one of the most tragic back stories for a Star Wars villain. Explaining how he became what he is needs to be done in a movie.

I'd really love for them to retell the "bounty hunters" storyline for Boba Fett. That was fantastic, and would bring back another couple of classic characters and perhaps even present day Harrison Ford.

Refresh my memory.
What memorable or badass things did Boba Fett do in ESB?
