Also, even if it "only" happens to a few hundred people, that's still unacceptable. Quote:

So Barney Frank was singularly responsible for the housing bubble bursting? I believe the truth is a good deal more complicated than how you're depicting it. And it most definitely is right-wing spin to say Dodd and Frank are the "main culprits" of the 2008 economic collapse.

Did not say even once that Frank singularly was responsible for anything...wow, way to read into a post. I think he's an idiot, that's just my opinion, you have yours that's fine. : )

As far as the housing debacle, you're damn right....the legislation that they put through, and then the complete ignoring of the Administration's warnings about F & F as well as 3 pieces of legislation ignored and not allowed out of committee that could have stopped what happened. Damn right I blame them for that....the 2 wars, endless spending, all goes to Bush. I have never said anything different. Neither of them knew what the hell they were doing in those positions, and I don't want either near the Congress ever again. Clear enough...?

Yeah, Dodd and Frank deserve the blame on the housing bubble. But there were a lot of other problems that go well beyond just the housing bubble.

Oh tons of other problems, some that started in the Clinton administration, 2 wars, in my opinion, we didn't need to be in....9/11 which we could do nothing about, except that we should have had far more Arab interpreters at the time than we did...deregulation of Wall Street, which also started in the Clinton Administration, Enron wasn't because of Bush, Enron had been doing what they were doing for decades...they were just the guys that were found out first. But, MANY, MANY, MANY things were a part of what happened in Bush's administration, and just like that administration, this administration today is also deaf, dumb and blind.

I think we are seeing that the old guard in both parties, who for decades...DID actually talk with each other, DID actually get to debate legislation, DID actually get a phone call back from the President.....seeing that times have changed and it is time for them to move on.

I think you're right...and we're in trouble. The days of actual of debate and diplomacy have been replaced by schoolyard antics.

These men and women of the 80's and 90's they have been best of friends off the floor, and debated the hell out of legislation in committee and on the floor for decades and remained good friends. Friends that in the end, after all of the hot debate, actually came up with legislation (some I agreed with some I didn't) but at least I knew that my representatives had been heard, it wasn't a backroom deal, or ONLY a signature of the President that made something law. I don't like the later, NO MATTER WHO DOES IT, OR WHETHER OR NOT I AGREE WITH IT OR NOT, it is NOT what our government is about, and I think the old guard has seen the light, and realized those days are long gone. Truly sad, IMO...

I'm not overly familiar with Cowan either.

Meet the Gun Loving, Straight Talking, 2016 Democratic Presidential Dark Horse
Democrats would be fools to nominate Clinton over Schweitzer.

Schwietzer is probably too conservative to ever win a Democratic primary.

Anytime I seen him talk before he seems reasonable. No chance he beats Hillary that being said if Hillary decides not to run I would put him #2 behind Biden.
He could get us those all important 3 electoral votes in Montana. I think he might also help win over a state like Arizona. |

I've long argued that racism is neither a left or right issue, especially if your last name is something like Chao, and here is more evidence.
