Can somebody please point to a movie where that Percy Jackson chick is actually decent? I'm not saying show me an Oscar worthy performance or anything, just a decent one where she has decent screen presence. I'd give any actress a shot who gets the role but this undying excitement for that girl to acquire the role is odd to me without a performance or two to back up the hype.

We got lucky with Chris Hemsworth, he very easily could have sucked but I don't think that chance should be taken for every character. For instance I really like Gina Carano's look for the role of Wonder Woman but I'd want to see her play in more films to see if she can even act really. Exactly. Everything I've seen her in, she's borderline Elisha Cuthbert bad. It really comes down to looks not acting.

I don't know, there's plenty of good actresses out there who have both 'it' and looks. Sad thing is, I don't think we'll see actresses like Gina Torres or Morena Baccarin in the running for the role, let alone mentioned.

I just don't see anything special about Gina Carrano or Alexandra Daddario, aside from their looks.

Eh, not a fan of those two actresses. I mean they aren't bad but I'd have to see proof that they have movie star charisma. I'm not dissing T.V actors but often there good acting and charm don't translate to the big screen. One isn't better than the other but that is the truth.

This is true, but this whole thread seems to be full of man crush casting too.

I'd say my priority is probably 2:1 acting. I can't say looks don't matter to me. I wouldn't want Abbe Vigoda as Batman and Betty White as Wonder Woman, but I do think saying "This actor doesn't have the right cheek bones for the role" is absurd.

@KangConquers- you keep saying this person or that person won't do it because they're too big, or they won't be third billed to some of the others. isn't an oscar winner going to think they're too big for wonder woman? probably career suicide for them.

Wonder Woman is the female lead in a Justice League movie. She'd be playing second fiddle to no one in that context. And even though DC's done a poor job keeping her on top of the superhero popularity heap, she's still one of the most recognized and powerful names in fiction.

Compare that to Flash and Aquaman, who are second stringer characters, with two leading roles solidly/ undeniably above them in the film. There's no way Gosling or Pine, actual Hollywood names, play second fiddle to Matt Bomer.

If they start with JL, I personally feel that the spotlight will be squarely on Batman and Superman. In film terms she may be the female lead, but I just can't see people caring all that much about either her or the others. And I'm guessing actors would know that.

There is still a 'little' chance they get a name actress for the role-more so than say, the Flash or a recast GL- coz it's still a pop culture icon we're talking about here. But WB really has to play hardball!

Yes, and that's an important distinction. Wonder Woman is a major pop-culture icon. The Flash and Green Lantern are just popular superheroes.

The Flash as a role becomes decidedly less desirable when he's sharing screen time with Batman.

I'm sorry but I very much so disagree with that.

Yes Superman & Batman as the poster boys for DC, but Wonder Woman is the poster girl, above Green Lantern & Flash, Supes, Bats & Wondy are called "The Trinity" for a reason.

In a Justice League movie, I'd think the main focus would be towards Superman first based on the fact that the DCCU (DC Cinematic Universe) seems to have its starting point aimed with Man Of Steel, then towards Batman, then a little less towards Wonder Woman, then Green Lantern & Flash together (since they work best together).

Out of all of them, I'd see the Flash getting the short end of the stick (not getting a big name actor) since he has the least exposure. His only claim to fame outside of the comics is animated stuff and a failed TV Show that no one really remembers
