So it looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer for a trailer then. That's disappointing, but at least Mangold is determined to have it look right. Hopefully we'll get lucky and see some more promo pics released until then

The fact that he;s not letting marketing affect him and wants a movie with "integrity" is a sure sign. I'm bummed out (a LOT) about the wait, but I'm sure the wait will be worth it.

Thats sucks to hear. Hopefully its not that much longer. Fox usually puts out pretty good X trailers so Im sure it will be worth the wait.

Yeah, the trailer for X3 made the movie just that much more of a disappointment

X3 and SM3 both took the cake for deceptive trailers. Both of their respective trailers were badass.

Most trailers seem to do that these days (Transformers).

It's easy to do when all your assets fit neatly into a few quick trailer cuts.

The sound design for the Transformer trailers deserve alot of credit. Everyone rips them off nowadays and it is getting old, but they set the modern standard for blockbuster trailers and sound effect design. Every one of those were well done, and forced even the haters back into the theatre for a second and third round. Good marketing any way you look at it.

That classic costume Wolverine toy in the background. I want that one.

The last movie did, can't imagine they won't release anything for this one. There's a Wolverine logo on that ninja figure on the wall. Definitely seems related.

But I don't think thats for the movie especially with that Wolverine action figure - it looks completely different to the Wolverine that we are gonna see in The Wolverine movie. Marvel always releases action figure for their X-Men characters, it doesn't mean its a tie-in merchandise for the next Wolverine movie.

The first movie had variations of costumes we never saw in the movie either.

Well if Silver Samurai is going to be similar to that toy, then I don't think its that bad. Though I still have to see the official version to make a final judgment whether the costume looks good or not.

I'm not a huge fan of the face in the chest. If it were more subtle, like brushed steel or something it would look cooler. But having a giant face carved into the armor doesn't look that great.

I don't think his costume will be as "in your face" as that one.

I'm not entirely convinced that's Silver Samurai's look for the film, but I can hardly rule it out either. I'm wondering who that ninja is as well. I can only make out the words 'shadow' and 'ninja' on the box behind him. It's too blurry for me to make out. I don't recognise the guy, but he could just be a basic ninja who is a lackey to Silver Samurai.
Also, does anyone else find it weird that only one of Silver Samurai's kneepads has a face design on it. Edit: Looks like Samurai's helmet is detachable.

Latest from Mangold:
James Mangold @mang0ld Tell me you think we're lame after you see the teaser. At least then you will be critiquing images from the film, not a marketing window. James Mangold @mang0ld From end of March till release, you'll be saturated. Relax, yuk. I've never found the coolest people are the first to arrive at a party. James Mangold @mang0ld Take a deep breath. End of March.
