might makes sense though, on Krypton everyone apparently has some variation of the Superman suit on, while when they go into battle they wear armor. On Earth there is no real need for armor since our sun gives them god like powers, Zod decides to tip the scales in his favor and creates his robot army based armor, giving him a push (not really sure why but lets go with it lol). So just to make sure he doesn't get his arse handed to him, Superman hits his belt buckle thingy and his fathers armor does a nano tech assemble thing and ta da, armored Superman vs. armored Zod I kinda hope the belt buckle thing actually serves as that purpose.....other wise I do think its kind of odd to just.....be there.....floating on his mid-section......the toy will look awesome back on topic

He could be right, you never know, the jury still out on that.Read what the costume designer said.
the Superman costume is not an outfit sewn together by Martha Kent, but is instead a bit of native Kryptonian fashion. “Everyone on Krypton wears this suit,” Wilkinson said of the costume. “It has function and purpose and a logic to this fantastical world," he added. |

But cheap...I wonder what it looks like. I wonder if it's similar to the poster that cklove posted, and that's why WB came down on him...possible

Yep and in the same spoilers that revealed the Kryptonian rifle and multiple armor sets, they also kinda gave away something about how Superman gets his suit........think DC The New 52........yep...... lol

I was, and thank you. I remember that guy but had forgotten that detail. I think it could work depending on how they handle it. It's hard to fathom, given the naturalistic feel of the trailer, how all of these fantastical elements are going to blend together. I can't wait to see it

So how does that work exactly according to that example? He wears only the top of the suit underneath, and the rest will form at will?
Or he wears a Superman t-shirt?

It forms from the shield. In one of the recent Action Comics issues you see the suit materialize from the shield and then when he arrives home the suit de-materilizes back into the shield and he removes that from his chest.
Also some merch update: Amazon is now listing the 2014 wall calendars for MOS with a release of August 1st. Last edited by Simo; 02-13-2013 at 04:30 AM. |

I like the sound of it forming from his belt buckle totally works for me.

So, he might wear the shield directly on the chest underneath? Or the beltbuckle? They're lodged into the skin somehow? It's not really clear. I hope it wont be as halfassed in the movie.

![]() ..in the following panels he flies home to his place where the suit de-materializes into the shield and then he just peels the shield off to jump in the shower. lol Not sure how it stays on his chest and whatnot but thats how it works in the comics. |
