I wish they would have made Justin Hammer feel like more of a threat instead of a cheap, bungling Tony Stark-wannabe. If they had made Vanko and him more devious and their plans more sinister, then I wouldn't have had a problem with a majority of the plot.

I don't get that either. After seeing Rhodey get excited about the MKII suit in IM and saying, "Next time, baby," people couldn't have been more set up for WM's appearance. I do think they mishandled his role in the movie in several areas, but overall, WM is still a strong point for IM2.

This is off topic but for me, that was the worst shot/angle in the whole film. I actually didn't rate that whole scene exchange with Loki too highly either.

metal and paint are some of the most well imitated materials in CG, so trading realism for actor comfort, so they can give a better performance, is preferred now.

And they were spending so much time on Ironman and the Hulk, that they forgot that Captain America's suit really got seriously damaged during the battle.... and it in this shot it somehow spontaneously fixed it self to brand new condition... lol

Umm, no. He's quite key in the film. There were several scenes building up the idea of War Machine. Rhodey's arc in the film is probably one of the few aspects of it that were well written.
