How is it hard for you to imagine a shape-shifter looking different? I think it's probably the easiest to accept!

I don't think Rebecca Romijn should return. Magneto already abandoned her when she lost her powers and I don't see them working together again even if Magneto also lost his powers. Plus the younger version of Mystique is already in the movie.

Actully I think Mystique Is more likely than Storm.That way you have 3 characters In
both timeframes.

Mystique was not even a major character in the original trilogy and she wasn't even a X-Men. She was the only villain that was with Magneto for X1, X2 and X3 but they already parted ways in X3. I don't see how much role she's going to have in the movie. Even if her powers are back, she can't really use her powers to defeat a Sentinel.

At least with Storm, they can use her as the leader of the X-Men and use her powers to defeat the Sentinels. If Bryan Singer doesn't bring Storm back, it will just prove that he doesn't know what to do with Storm.
