Yeah they've been focusing more on the "warrior" aspect of Thor than the superhero aspect. I welcome a sequence where Thor directly saves citizens from immediate danger, especially something involving Thor doing some heavy lifting.

I agree. The invasion of the Earth by Loki's Chitauri army should change Thor's attitude towards his brother significantly. Thor is a warrior, not some pacifist who would want peace with his brother at any cost. He should take a hard line with Loki from here on out, realizing that his brother's sick need for revenge endangers not only Earth but also Asgard and the rest of the Nine Realms. Ideally, Thor (and Odin) will pay dearly for coddling Loki as they have even after his destructive treachery in Thor and The Avengers. Should the spoilers about Loki betraying Asgard yet again and causing Frigga's death be true, I would love to see Thor and Odin turn their backs on Loki and treat him like the bitter enemy he is. They can all make up later, after Thanos extracts his pound of flesh from the trickster.

Speaking of which, it would be great if Thanos, seeking revenge on Loki for failing him, journeys to Asgard at the start of TA2 and lays waste to it. A brief, vicious invasion in which the Mad Titan blasts his way into Odin's vault, takes the Infinity Gauntlet, and then goes off to beat the ever-loving **** out of Loki would show the audience exactly how dangerous Thanos is to the heroes.
