Les Miserables: One Thread More! - Page 28

The names have to go the way the cast is billed, and often times that's not the way they want the promo images to look. In this case, Anne is the breakout star/character of the film, and they want her image to take priority. It's annoying, but it happens ALL the time in movie posters.

And clearly Russell is the last one ... it sounds like a really stupid rule, however

That was an awesome Inside the Actor's Studio. Now I want to see the movie again.

The only thing I didn't care about was you could tell it was heavily edited. And it's the same questions at the end from the last time he was there, but Hugh had some different answers this time.

I liked that it was so Les Mis heavy. When Lipton opened up with questions about Happy Feet, I thought it was going to turn into an SNL routine.

So I just found out that Cameron Mackintosh is planning on bringing Les Miserables to Australia.

Colour me excited beyond belief.

The thing is that Academy only judges the outcome, as they should. The work that went into this is invisible to our eyes, and quite subjective also.

Sounds like the Oscar number is going to be great - Aaron was confirmed to be attending the show last week (as is Sam), and now a Broadway website reports that the Hollywood Bowl ensemble cast is assembling for the Oscars and also:

I've seen it four times now and I don't think there's going to be fifth, last time I got pretty bored. But I'm hotly anticipating the DVD ... all that epicness in my own TV?

I couldn't bring myself to see Anna Karenina in the theater, but I watched it on acg tube ... it's style-over-substance is so ridiculously over the top that it's pathetic and shall it win anything over Les Mis, it would just be complete travesty.

I'd love to know what they are cooking up for the Oscars.

It's been confirmed that Killian Donnelly (Combeferre) is attending the Oscars. He tweeted a few hours ago that he was on his way to LAX, and then he posted a bunch of photos of him and others from Heathrow:

Jamie Muscato (barricade boy), David Roberts (barricade boy), Killian, Jeff Nicholson (the guy in "Master of the House" that was mooning people), and Matt Seadon-Young (with glasses, barricade boy).

According to tweets it looks like George Blagden (Grantaire) is in LA so sounds like he may be part of whatever they are doing. Aaron was already confirmed as attending. Can't wait to see what this all is!
