It give the costume some distinction, I'll admit.
But it was gold...and with what Nolan was going for with Batman, all that shadows talk, it just didn't make sense. Wasn't bad, but just seemed kinda off.

Start with Nite-Owl's suit, re-tailor it for Batman. Job done.

The one in Arkham Asylum video game should be the one.
I hope they stay away from the All Black suits. Those have ran their course. Time for a change.

I wouldn't have minded something like this for the Black suit era:
![]() I do relaize it never would, nor ever will happen, but it's still a cool suit design,. IMO. Now I can only hope they will finally do a decent comics style suit.

I wouldn't mind if the next suit took a little bit of inspiration from Faora's suit in MOS.

I think Cap's suit from Avengers could be used as a model. It hints at armor, but still looks like cloth and allows the wearer alot of movement. Time to go for the grey and black finally. And, like I said, I want the oval again. Gold and black metallic-looking, with a gold belt. I also want to see bracers and boot armor take inspiration from Batman '89. Loved the way those boots and gloves looked, but I'd like the scallops on the gloves more rectangular, the way Miller drew them in DKR.

1) I disagree.
2) What I meant was that they could take pieces of armor and place them over a flexible, but durable looking material like Superman's. |

Ideally I'd like to see a noir story set in the '40s (Never going to happen though, unfortunately) and have the suit based on the design of the second Dark Knight Returns costume (Classic grey/black, huge pure black logo) but have the materials similar to the ones in Captain America. Clearly protected and not just spandex, but still allows for mobility and doesn't look too intricate.

I certaintly don't want to see a direct translation of the AA suit, it does work in that world but not live action.

the suit material should be something similar to the one Captain America, Spiderman, & Superman use
something light that offers lots of movement, but still strong enough to withstand damage |

i like the classic grey and black. im partial to a lighter grey tho ( not gunmetal). have a big black bat symbol and a black belt ( if not black i think bronze or nickel would look cool). no trunks. def. no yellow oval

i dont hate the trunks. i just dont want them in the reboot. if they were to make a stand alone 40s noir/period piece batman or a kingdom come adaptation id be pissed if they DIDNT have the trunks! i just dont think the batman of 2013 should wear trunks

I want to keep an armored up look to go along with the idea he's a Dark Knight, but I also want to see the glowing eye slits and gold oval around the Bat signal. Maybe he has both deactivated until he's right in front of you. Imagine seeing those eyes light up right behind a crook's shoulder before Batman attacks. You could even make the look without the eyes and eye slits more of a relaxed look, so that he can emote in some scenes and just be scary in others.

Either gunmetal grey.
Or I was wondering on a titanium armour plating look. Giving it a dark silvery shine.

I would really love if they get away from the armor/rubber look.

I would just keep it consistent with the comics.
