I like Patrick Wilson for a slightly serious Pym or Jason Bateman for a more amusing one. But really, whomever. Just get on with it plz.

I still say Adam Scott. He just has that look about him. A handsome nerdy dude but you can tell he's a little off kilter.

if they can't get Cumberbatch for Pym, i'd want someone like James Van Der Beek. Joshua Jackson for Lang. and John Noble for George Tarleton/M.O.D.O.K. i have this feeling that Advanced Idea Mechanics would make great/memorable villains for this flick; bee-keeper helmets mesh well with the bug motif. Monica Rappaccini can come along so Jan has someone to beat up.

James Van Der Beek is still alive?
Might be a bit problematic as soon as he joins the Avengers and meets Maria Hill for the first time... You know, I could never watch them in a scene together without humming Sandcastles in the Sand

his 'Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment B' show ended this year. but, yes, he's still alive.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004735/ but you could say the same about Jeremy Renner and Anthony Mackie (set to be Falcon). anyways, it's just one suggestion. he's a blonde actor who is just old enough to fit in with the rest of the cast. if they want someone who isn't going to seem too similar to Banner or Stark, it makes sense to cast younger. |

I think Fassbender would make a good Pym. He makes a good Magneto too, so it's okay

I hadn't considered Ewen Mcgregor until I saw this. Not a bad choice.

Ehem, he's born in 1977. Do you think he's died of old age or something?

I think he's good casting. I'm starting to like the thought of Bradley Cooper as Pym. I love Cumberbatch, but I don't know if he's a bit too dark and serious to be Pym.

I don't think that Cumberbatch can handle the superheroic action required for Ant-Man, or the skintight costume for that matter.
Josh Duhamel is someone I hadn't considered, but he would be great for the role. He is the right age, well-built, rather charismatic when given the right material and is actually a good actor. Duhamel has action movie experience and would have no trouble with the physical aspects of the role. Also, he's not likely to command a massive salary, which would be a point in his favor as far as Marvel is concerned.

Cumberbatch is doing superhero action stuff in a skintight costume in Star Trek so I he is capable but I would rather see someone else in the role.
I think there are other Marvel characters Cumberbatch would be better suited for. Quote:

I think Ewan McGregor is a fantastic choice for Henry Pym. He can do action and he can project intelligence. I'd even go as far as saying that I wouldn't mind if Pym is actually from Great Britain in this instance. It would bring some diversity to the MCU and nationality has never really been important to Pym's character anyway.

Cumberbatch would be great as another Marvel villain. Not Pym. Or if not, then he could be The Black Knight, but I don't see him being added to the Avengers. I guess he could be Captain Britain as well.
Really don't like the idea of James Van Der Beek as Pym. If he and Robin Sparkles Cobie Smulders had a scene together, they could re-enact Sandcastles in the Sand. ![]() Josh Duhamel seems way too tall for Pym. He'd be the same height as Thor if not taller.

Pym has to be a handsome nerd, if you know what I mean.
