I started playing LeafGreen. Doing some things I never did before. Picked Charmander (picked Bulbasaur in Blue and FireRed, Squirtle in Red). Got a Mankey early to beat Brock and I'm using Spearow instead of Pidgey for my early Flyer. But I also caught a Caterpie, evolved it to Butterfree and it's been a lifesaver against early Poison types like Koffing, Ekans, Grimer, and Zubat you find against NPCs. I wish it could learn a Bug move early to take out Misty's Starmie.

I recently started playing LeafGreen again too, and picked Squirtle since I normally go with Charmander since I love using Charizard later in the game. If you need help dealing with Misty's pokemon, try catching a Pikachu in the Viridian Forest.

Hey guys, quick question. I already own Pokemon Heart Gold ; is it worth it to also have Pokemon Soul Silver? Are there any incentives besides the exclusive Pokemon to each version?

As far as I know it's just the exclusives that separate them.

I really wish there were a way to trade between versions without having 2 ****ing DS's. These things have WiFi. By now, we should be able to use that to transfer our pokemon.

I agree. I want some kinda cloud type thing to transfer. I hope that'll be a feature in X&Y

The wild pokemon levels needed to be modified in HGSS imo. I'm going to be grinding for a while before I'm ready for Red.

I never beat Red in SS. Can't fight an army of lv 40's to reach lv 80. It'd take forever.

I never played HG or SS. I want to, because my Gold and Silver cartridges don't work anymore. Stupid internal clock battery.

They're worth playing if you're a fan of the originals. Having a Pokemon follow you is pretty cool too.

I definitely think that Venomoth and Butterfree got a spire mix-up they just stuck with.

Definitely. I think the Kangaskhan/Cubone/Marowak is kind of a stretch but could be true. If they were made now, I definitely think they would be what the conspiracy says to a degree since we have held item and happiness evolutions now.

I smell BS. I mean, Houndoomed? I think Nintendo would do better than to add 2 letters to create a new evolution of Houndoom. Some neat and long overdue typings like Grass/Dragon and (finally) Flying/Fighting!!
