I was but not anymore really. The release schedule is ridiculous, Infinity looks like a way better event, there has been next to no build up for Age of Ultron, and to top all that off people are just sick of Marvel with their 5867930580678 events in the first place.

I was never interested. I'll be glad when the era of Bendis-written events is finally over.

Seeing that it's likely Superior Spider-man and not really Peter, I have to admit that I'm less enthused about AoU. I really feel that this should be the one comic which Peter should be the one and not Dock Sp-Octopus. Though saying that, I wouldn't be surprised if Spidey really isn't a big player in this.
I'm still buying it though (the main comic, no tie-ins), but I don't really know what to expect of it right now.

I'll probably buy the mini and zero tie-ins. I might try a tie-in if it's a title I already buy (though it seems I don't even have to do that) but that's iffy.

I'm moderately excited. I love Ultron and the art should be nice. I just wish someone else was writing it though...

So the covers and synopsis for the last couple of issues of Age Of Ultron have been released.
I wonder if Hank Pym is going to merge with Ultron.

That was my guess... or he'd be controlled by him. Either way.

I think it could be pretty cool if they merged. You could have a kind of ghost in the machine type thing.

I had the idea that Ultron somehow took Pym and is using him to somehow control or power all of the gold Ultrons flying around. That would keep Ultron unique while screwing up Pym.

Same. Refuse to read another crossover he's behind.

I've not disliked a single one of his events so far (save AvX, but you can blame everyone for that mess) so I'm stoked for this. I was cautious to start it due to the release schedual but I've really been enjoying it so far.

I really enjoyed the first one. Glad to see Hawkeye in the spotlight. Can't wait to get the next issue tomorrow.
Can't get it today. |

This is a Bendis event that doesn't suck so far. It's the Avengers Age of Apocalypse.

I thought I read an interview somewhere with Bendis saying it was Doc Ock Spidey... but from everything he says in both issues right now... it REALLY, REALLY seems like Peter Parker.
Other than that little nitpick I am liking it so far

I'm fairly certain that Bendis wrote it as regular Spidey but that tie-ins might reveal that it's actually Ock as Spidey. Personally, as someone who isn't reading Superior Spider-Man, I don't want it to be Ock, so I'm cool with the fact that it reads like Peter. I'm envisioning Peter and I like it that way.

As for the first two issues, nothing really has happened. It's not Bendis' fault it's Brian Hitch. They let that guy drag ass just to let his stories "breath" but all we get are two issues where nothing happens at all. These two issues have been a waste of money so far to be honest. |

That makes me feel better about not getting it. I'll wait for the trade if I hear good things.

It wouldn't surprise me if Bendis turns Hank into a villain at the end of Age of Ultron. He hates the character, and turning him into a villain is probably the most long-term damaging thing he can do. If he killed Hank off, he'd just come back and be fine. Making him a villain corrupts the character so it'll be harder for people to accept him as a hero again.

Maybe Hank fuses his mind with Ultron or something.

Kind of unnecessary. Ultron essentially has Hank's mind already.

I don't think Bendis is stupid enough to do that, considering an Ant-Man film is coming up.

A film that doesn't necessarily star Hank Pym, last I heard.
