Right.

A bad acting choice? Sure, but thait's different from subpar acting in general. Bale has never phoned it in for the Batfilms and we were exceedingly lucky to have him.

I would prefer it if Superman becomes a government puppet ala TDKR at the end of MOS. There we go something to talk about.

Superman is above stupid human politics. He's a man of action.

Yep! I just came here to post the same thing. Man of Steel is his next film, so hopefully he talks a lot about it!

Also, why does Leno get all the MoS actors? First it was Henry back in Nov 2011, then Amy a couple weeks ago, and now Crowe! I wonder when MoS actors will start appearing on other shows.

Jay Leno always brings up Superman it seems when someone from the MoS cast is there. He'll most likely bring it up.

Jay Leno seems to be a major Superman fan. His love challenges Coco himself.

My point is that I believe his career trajectory would've been the same regardless of Batman.

I highly doubt that. It was one of the largest, most widely-acclaimed, most profitable trilogies in cinema. Sure, Bale's a good actor, and if you're trying to say that his talents would have been recognized regardless of Batman then I agree, but it's difficult for me to believe that his "career trajectory" would have been exactly the same without Batman.

Although, what exactly do you mean by "career trajectory," anyway? And by what means would that trajectory be measured?

He took a long break after doing 16+hr days for most of the 10 years he was on Smallville, but is now filming Parkland, a Tom Hanks produced JFK film

I'm not being an apologist for Smallville or Welling as both had their faults ...... just don't see the point in running the guy down with statements which aren't necessarily true.

I never said exactly the same. I believe his talents would've gotten him similar roles to showcase his talents. Sure being Batman gives him his choice of more mainstream/bigger movies but he's not interested in doing just those roles.
