There are Tumblr memes about all of the Avengers' lovely bums. Anybody who watched that film had to notice how often Whedon put the camera at butt-level whenever Chris or Scarlett were on screen. Hemsworth & Renner provided us with lots of arm-porn, too. Hey, if you've got an attractive cast you might as well show them at their best.

I noticed Mary Jo Markey (Star Trek, Super 8) has signed on to edit the film, according to IMDB. It could be wrong, but if it's true, they picked a great editor for the sequel.

Interesting way to describe it. Feige has my trust though.

Well that's cool he's describing it, but why not get onto announcing some actual casting like who exactly Emily Van Camp is playing.

Kind of weird how sites are getting hyped over Feige dubbing the movie a political thriller, when Chris Evans said the same thing in April last year. http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=381453

Off topic, but I just watched FF2:Silver Surfer for the first time in years, and I was very impressed with Chris Evans acting. I guess I'd almost forgotten the FF films, but here he is playing an in your face character very believably. Makes me appreciate his Steve Rogers/Capt. America that much more.

Marvel always plays it close to the vest with character names and plot descriptions so as to keep some things a surprise until the films debut. It's a great tactic and one that I appreciate. Too many films are thoroughly spoiled months in advance, and fans often complain of it. Here we have a studio that keeps us on our toes and manages to hold out a few surprises until we actually see its films. That's refreshing.

I'm not sure about the political thriller comment. I love Marvel but when it comes to doing something a bit deeper they tend to prefer the toy merchandising route. I guess it's similar to how just about every writer describes their work as 'Star Wars meets Game of Thrones' or whatever but it's not really as good as either.
We'll see.

Basically a lot of Winter Soldier's tasks involve taking out people with a lot of political clout, thereby causing disarray or someone to move in for a coup or puppet that his handlers would prefer.

It'd be interesting if the "political thriller" angle included a nod towards the Secret Empire/Nomad days back in the Nixon era, but set in modern times with a corrupt/manipulated US President that causes Steve to lose faith in what his country has become. "Is this what I was fighting for? Did we really win the war, after all?"
