have just watched the whole trilogy. I never understood that part either, but today Ive done it!

She used the jet in part because of Pyro's words to her before leaving the jet. So Rogue wanted to do something she probably has been wanting to do it, but never did because "she wasnt supposed to"

its a nice touch by Singer, but it was a weird execution. now I can say Im glad Bryan did it, to show Rogue doing something by her own, instead of following orders.

Hopefully DOFP will show her even more independent on the battle

I think if someone damaged the X-Jet other than Rogue like Stryker's soldiers or if they included Magneto's Brotherhood minion, Toad to destroy the X-Jet, it would have made sense more.

If Rogue didn't move the jet to where the other X-men were, then EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. OF. THE. X-MEN. (including Jubilee! Noooooooo!) would've died on Alkali Lake.

Unless they are going to revamp the entire ROMY relationship I HOPE/Doubt Singer will go through with it. It's too Twilight'ish and not a very likable pairing.

Also, by the looks of the production it seems the movie is focusing more on the original cast than the FC cast. Probably with the exception of Fassbender who I think will receive an even meatier role. Paquin, Jackman, McKellen and Stewart all receieving meatier roles while McAvoy, Ashmore and Page probably receive lesser importance. It's not a bad thing but I think Ashmore and Page probably wanted to join the cast because of the exposure than the actual script itself. Being in an X-Men film is high profile and with Singer back at the helm any of the cast is more than happy to be in this installment.

Reason I thinK Paquin is receiving a meatier role is because Singer's affection for Paquin and seem to love the character. He did build her up quite a bit in X2 it was the TLS that destroyed everything Singer had invested. Also, Paquin is a huge star with her leading role in True Blood people not only know her from X-Men but from True Blood which is on HBO so it's not necessarily TV because it's on pay Cable.

I think he'll want to fix everything that was destroyed.

Bryan had mentioned Anna has one of leading stars of his X-Men films with Hugh Jackman,Patrick Stewert,and Ian Mckellen.

I have been a big fan of rogue and Gambit.I had no trouble with her and Iceman.The 1990's X-Men animated series made some think Rogue Is nothing anyless they devolp her and Gambit.

Ellen Page may be In this film to take some screentime In future working with jackman while Paquin finishes True Blood season 6.

If,and that Is the question,If the star report Is close to any reality that hints she will join Jackman as the time traveling characters.

I anticapte the villains for film will be Fassbender and Peter Dinklage's character.Dinklage working on weapons for government Including sentinles to be used against
Mutants.Fassbender planning to kill those working against Mutants.

Ashmore Is returning because Singer wants him In film and he Is happy to be in big film again.Patrick Stewert and Ian Mckellen may both be key to launch time travel scheme.
Ashmore,Page,probally Halle Berry,and possibily Rebecca Romijn will be less than Stewert,Mckellen,Jackman,and Anna.

Mcavoy will probally be 1973 era X-Man to get most focus but he may have to share focus with Jackman and Paquin If they are time travelers.

I think Jennifer Lawrence could spend a lot of time undercover as human In government and most of her time In Blue makeup could be during brotherhood efforts against
Dinklage.

First Class was first step to getting franchise back to where It was after X2,and DOFP Is final step.

I'm not expecting to Rogue to really shine in this movie because the cast is big. But I'm hoping she gets her kick-ass action scenes. If they are planning for a Rogue/Gambit pairing, they should save it for the next movie that has a smaller cast.

They also have problem of Gambit as adult In 1970's and Rogue as Teenager In most like mid 1990's.

If Rogue joins Wolverine as time traveler I can see her having to stop Mystique from killing Peter Dinklage's character.The replacement for Kitty saving Kelly from Destiny.

I have the feeling that Anna/Rogue will surprise many fans and haters this time around, even if her role is small.

Bryan Singer knows perfectly how fans are dissapointed with Rogue on the franchise, so this is really his chance to do something really special with the character, now that Anna Paquin is older and is the lead on a well known tv show, and playing a sexy character, with some action here and there
