I kinda want to see some grey added into the mix, a good dark grey mind (like that of the new 52 suit) but It'd be nice to see that given a try.

It's more or less a rubber wetsuit in the new 52. I see it remaining that way on film. If it wasn't that way in the comics, then there would be something to suggest change. The only potential change I see is the suit being grey.

Change from what in the comics? Batman has never worn a rubber wetsuit in the comics, and he has always worn grey (bar very minor exceptions). Forgive me if I am missing the point, but your post doesn't make much sense to me.

He wore fabric over armour in the comics, yes.
But now with the new 52, he's wearing a costume inspired by the "rubber wetsuit" from the movies. And so the only way they can make the costume in the movies more like the comics is by making it grey.

I really don't want to see a Captain America style Batsuit unless they bulk up its armored look and keep the look black. I never really thought of his suit as actually being gray in the same way I never thought of his cowl as blue. Black is his color, and everything else is just texture.
And while lenses may cut down on his emoting ability, but that hasn't stopped the Spider-Man series from doing well. They can just avoid the whole loosing his mask at the finale thing, or at least find a villain like Strange or Al Ghul for whom the whole identity thing is redundant.

I just want a non-rubberish suit... Please?
Also, white eyes would be SUPER tough to pull off. I could live without them. I don't much like the New 52 suit. Well, mostly I don't like the yellow belt and the unnecessary lines.

Something like Cap's suit could work. The neck system used for TDK/TDKR could work as well, but with smaller ears. The white eyes, however, I'm not sure would work on screen properly. Lenses overall on the mask, sure, but to have his eyes be white would look weird.
BTW, cryptic name, where'd you get that wonderful avvy?

Yup, the intention from the very beginning was always grey and black.

Probably the closest I've seen to a tolerable non-'rubber' suit.

In the real world, there's no material that has both flexibility and a level of durability that Batman's suit usually has. Real world body armor is bulky and doesn't work nearly as well as Batman's.

I know the new 52 suit is based on Nolan's Batsuits, so I assumed the materials came with it lol.

Yup. It's bullet and knife proof. I hope they use that concept next time.

Can you be more specific?
Where on Wikipedia? That's so weird, cause there's so little in common between them apart from the typical Batman visage. The only unique feature I can think of between them is maybe the lack of trunks? But Burton had already long-since done that.

^ Segmented neck? Are the shape of the gauntlet blades the same? Not sure...
EDIT: Nope, not the same blades. The only thing I can think of is that it's segmented armour. Last edited by titansupes; 03-02-2013 at 09:22 PM. |

This Batsuit appears using various elements fromChristopher Nolan's*The Dark Knight Trilogy. Just as in*The Dark Knight, it is made of hardened kevlar plates on titanium-dipped tri-weave fibers and is broken into multiple pieces of armor over a more flexible bodysuit for greater mobility.*
