The problem with Rachel Summers is she is too complicated. How the heck do you explain who she is? Especially, since they killed of Jean at least. There is just too much to explain with her.

If its post X3 then yeah pretty much no way she can be included unless shes not related to Scott or Jean. I do like her role in the book as a mutant tracker and it is a fairly important part of the Future story so I wonder if they will give that to someone else.

That said if its an completely ALt reality there is no reason not to include Rachel.

its kind of surprising they gave the script to the actors, when it used to be closer to the actual movie, and in many cases, some actors even dont ever have the full script

I guess Bryan wants to care about the lead actors, starting with giving them the script. Sounds good to me. I hope everyone is happy with the script

He probally means a character like Jar Jar Binks and gollum.Something created entirely digital.Now there could still be a bit with Iceman In Iceform.Plus I suspect the sentinles
will be brought to screen with CGI.

No. And Iced up Iceman is just Shawn Ashmore with an effect covering him. Just like January Jones in First Class, and Daniel Cudmore in X2... not a completely CGI character from scratch.

I dont know about Colossus but Emma and X3 Iceman have completely CG bodies. There is no part of them showing.

Because they have a layer of CG covering them. Neither are complete cg characters made from the ground up.

Hmm Not trying to start a debate I just dont get how that works. They are still full CG forms, Anything resembling their physical selves is taking out. They do the same with Actors used as reference in other films.

Sigh. Was really holding out for a Henry Jackman return. Couple this wretched news with the fact that reviews for Jack the Giant Slayer are mediocre at best and it just seems more and more like DOFP is a mess of a film waiting to happen.

John Ottman is the final nail in the coffin. I'll still see this film (at this point solely for the sake of McAvoy, Fassbender, and Lawrence) but I can't stand to read anything more about it. I wish Vaughn had stayed on. He really reinvigorated the series and it's painful to watch it slowly creep backwards. Hope the movie manages to prove me wrong. And if it doesn't, I'll just cross my fingers that the reins to the "third" First Class movie get handed over to someone else.

No, see its like saying that when Superman is flying in MOS that he is a totally CGI character. Not the case he is just displaying a power or like when the Iron Man armor is shown flying. Ashmore icing up is just like those guys displaying a power. He doesn't become a different character or anything.

I think I didn't make anymore sense of the situation but I was hoping to help iterate the point better but feel I failed.
