I like Jones on Mad Men, she is perfectly cast for that role but she is a terrible actress. It has nothing to do with wanting a perfect performance and everything to do with her just being bad in First Class. She would be a disaster as Sue and would make most of us miss Alba. How about Fox get a half way decent actress for Sue this time?

I wouldn't mind Banks or McAdams. Chastain I'd give her a chance despite her overacting in ZD30 though. Alice Eve too I'd certainly give her a shot too.
Another contender though I do think she'd look good as a blonde - Keri Russell.

I wouldn't mind Alice Eve for Sue. She looks quite like the classic version with that hairstyle of hers in the new Star Trek film:
She could be Sue turning her costume invisible in this shot: ![]() Now you see it, now you don't.

Alice Eve can't act.
I'd be fine with January Jones...

^Not an Alice Eve fangirl by any means (hot ass body though) but Jones is litterally one of the worst actresses working. All she can play is Betty on Mad Men. I haven't seen Eve do anything special either but she hasn't had a chance to play a decent character yet so I'm withholding most of my judgements on her acting talent.
I think they should cast a 27 to 35ish year old who can convincingly play an intelligent woman. Kerri Russell is a pretty good actress and is having a career resurgence, she isn't a new fancasting choice but I think she could do well in the role. She can play smart, is a pretty sorta blond and can convey toughness. And maybe Brie Larson from 21 Jump Street? She is getting a lot of buzz for roles in some yet to be released festival films.

I love January on Mad Men! People saw her act out a god awful script in the x-men film and suddenly they went on a witch hunt for her.

First Class was my favorite X-film so I don't agree that it had an awful script. Hendricks and Moss are a 100 times better than Jones on Mad Men and I'm fine with Jones performance on the show so that isn't. really a knock.
Jones has been bad in every film role I've seen her in. She has no charisma or common sense as a performer in front of the camera. She almost always comes off as cold and vapid.

Jones doesn't project warmth and that's essential to Sue.

I haven't seen either one of these two mentioned, because they are not big name actresses, but what about Eliza Coupe (Happy Endings and later seasons of Scrubs) or Erin Richards (Breaking In). They may not be endowed enough, but I figure that's not a huge deal if they can pull off the part. Of course I'm also a fan of the McAdams and Banks suggestions.

How about Amanda Seyfried for Sue?

I think Fox is going to go with talented, under the radar types. Alice Eve fits that bill.

IDK. She made me laugh out loud in the star trek trailer. We'll see though. She has the perfect housewives fused with vixen look going on, which is what Sue needs. I don't believe she is as wholesome as some people and comic book artists believe.

They're both a little flat in the chest region. Which can be a big deal for some.

It'd be a big deal if I wanted to masturbate to the movie, but I have porn for that.

I like Olsen from what I've seen but she is very young.
My new pick is Andea Risebourgh from Oblivion. Her's is the only performance I liked in that dull film. |
