They pulled off the white walkers fabulously. Here's hoping the same can be said about this guy. His reveal is even bigger than the white walkers because it is built up for so long. To get it wrong would be a shame. We might see him in season 5 if they combine books 4&5 which seems the logical thing to do. Cant wait!

Don't know about any artist renditions but this was apparently from the show and never got included. No one knows where this footage is, the producers are mum on it. It was in one of the early, early trailers for season 1.

I think I heard something about them originaly wanting to include flashbacks to Robert's rebellion, but it was ultimately dropped. Wisely so, because with only 10 episodes they were pushing it. Now if they wanted to take a year off the main series and do a one season flashback to Robert's rebellion that would be badass. That would alow Martin more time to keep the booksahead of the series.

Sean was playing Ned they just had him at King's Landing unlike in the book so that Ned could witness his father's death. The name of the peorson cast as Brandon hasn't been indentified. Liam Burke was cast as Aerys II. The scene was cut for time reasons.

I Like Bean, but I never was much of a fan of Ned. He was a fool and his honor at all costs got him into a situation where a spoiled brat could take his head.

Davos is definitely one of my favorites. And the casting on the show couldn't be better. Liam fits him perfectly.

The man was smirking as he told the tale. Davos wanted to peel his lips off with a knife.

“Jared of House Frey, I name you liar.”

That will make sense if you've read book 3 and 5.

Indeed. That whole scene at White Harbor was great, and I loved that the one who defended the Starks was a girl named "Wylla".
