The explanation behind hals mask had nothing to do with the films failure.Probbaly was one of the few good things about the movie

Well the idea is the the suit reflects light in such a way that it mesmerises the people who see his face so they dont recongnise him.This peculiar reflection of light also affect cameras-It is impossible to get a clear shot of him becuse of this.

And it doesnt matter that Clark and Supes smell the same,the mesmer efffect ensures that people view Superman as having a different face as Clark,the smell is dismissed as coincidence.

Id like to piont out thjough the dogs issue will likely never come up in a Superman movie

I always assumed a good response to not wearing the glasses is that Superman doesn't wear a mask. Everyone can see his face, so the general public doesn't assume he has a secret identity. What's to hide if you see his face all the time.

That's actually pretty rational. I'd love for that to be somewhat explained in the movie, which would end the whole glasses thing.

I feel ya buddy. But give it another 4 weeks, and the marketing will knock Us on our butts to such a degree that we'll be begging them to let Us breath! Pretty much the same every time. We're talking tv-interviews. NEW trailer(s). Tv-spots! Exclusive footage at The MTV movie awards (willing to bet on that one). Many articles and such WILL be featured in magazines.
