I confess I'm getting really sick and tired of girls looking at me like I'm a freaking hideous monster. I'm not skinny, but I'm not fat, and I'd at least consider myself somewhat attractive. Not a stud, but not flat out butt ugly. I'm tired of having no friends, nobody to really confide in. I confess there's nothing out here for me, which is why I'm moving to LA in three years.

To me it sounds it sounds like you have two choices. Make a change or stay the same. Either way, you gotta get confident and say to yourself "screw them" lol. I know it's easier said than done, but find ways to develop confidence. You have the whole internet find out how.

And with friends, I've been there and it sucks, but find people you have common interests in by taking up hobbies or joining community clubs or something.

Well, I've definitely come a long way since last year. I used to be so introverted, and nervous that it was somewhat pathetic. Now, I can talk to them..but most of them just don't generate interest. Even my friend had a girl come over, and when she met me she gave me a look of "" lol. So, I'm definitely trying, and I know there's cool girls out there, I just seem to meet the bad ones of the bunch.

I'm trying to find something, but I've got nothing. I won't stop the search, damnit.

LA can be hit or miss depending on the people you hang with. The great thing is that there's something for everybody - environmental hippies and the designer-label-obsessed exist in harmony here.

But going by what you're saying, it's definitely best to avoid Hollywood and the San Fernando Valley. The Westside (Santa Monica, Venice) is probably where you want to be. Or up north in San Francisco. More carefree artists than you can shake a stick at!
