Anybody catch tonight's Grimm there was a guy who looked like Bruce Wayne and it wasn't David Giuntoli either.

Plus: His Austrian accent would fit that mad psychiatrist scheme of Hugo Strange perfectly. Siegmund Freud was an Austrian also, for example. In the new movie(s) they could give Hugo Strange an Austrian / German background (with his real name would be Hugo "What-ever-German-name-they-think-of") who is calling himself Hugo Strange after he began working in Gotham.

Agreed. I hated his portrayal when he was first introduced in those few minutes he had in S1, but in S2, I thought he got a better handle on what he was going for and really knocked it outta the park.

That was definitely his best performance. I was in agony leading up to that episode because I wasn't sure I could handle Scott's Moriarty being on my screen for that long. Surprisingly, I found him quite tolerable. Still don't want him near the Riddler or any other Batman character, though.

I would really like to see Jon Hamm in the role. I just think he would own! After seeing Dredd I think Karl Urban could do the role justice as well.

Batman reboot
In my series boot, my cast would be reoccurring over several movies. No order relevance just as I thought of it. Thomas Wayne/Simon Hurt- Christian Bale Martha Wayne- Marion Cotilliard **note: yes I purposely picked these two for the reboot symbolism of "killing off" Christopher Nolan's series, plus give diehard fans a chuckle or two** Dr Leslie Thompkins- Diane Lane Lucius Fox- Idris Elba Bruce Wayne/Batman- Taylor Kitsch Alfred Pennyworth- Ralph Fiennes Dick Grayson/Nightwing- Alex Pettyfer Tim Drake/Red Robin- Colton Haynes Jason Todd/Red Hood- Lee Thompson Young or Brandon T. Jackson Damien Wayne/Robin- Zach Gordon Barbara Gordon/Oracle- Amanda Seyfried Jim Gordon- Brian Cransten Harvey Bullock- John Goodman Selina Kyle/Catwoman- Kat Dennings Andrea Beauxmont/Phantasm- Anna Kendrick Vicki Vale- Brooklyn Decker Gotham City Mayor Simon Trent/The Gray Ghost- Adam West **Movie starThe Gray Ghost- Michael Keaton Joker- This one was very hard for me. IMO there are only a handful of actors good enough to be Joker, let alone deserve the role. Here's the best I have or would like to see*** 1. Johnny Depp 2. Tom Cruise 3. Leonardo DiCaprio 4. James Marsden 5. Jim Carey Harley Quinn- Helena Bonham Carter Thomas Elliot/Hush- John Hamm Mr Freeze- Liev Schriber Scarecrow- Ben Whishaw Riddler- Andy Dick Poison Ivy- Jessica Chastain Two Face- Harry Lennix Penguin- Bob Hoskins Zsaz- Javier Bardem Dead shot- Timothy Odmundson Ra's Al Ghul- Alexander Skarsgård Thalia Al Ghul- Olivia Wilde Killer Croc- Dave Bautista Bane- Alberto "Del Rio" Rodriguez Hugo Strange- Robin Williams Carmine Falcone- Jack Nicholson Death stroke- Joe Manganiello James Gordon Jr- Christopher Mintz-Plasse Cameos indicate DCU crossover potential: Lex Luthor- Michael C. Hall Mercy- Gina Corano Amanda Waller- Viola Davis Oliver Queen- Justin Timberlake Officer Barry Allen/Flash- Shawn Ashmore Victor Stone/Cyborg- Derek Luke Let me know what you guys think! I am just starting my reboot casting list and I'm very unsure about most of the characters. But I'd definitely like to see:
John Cleese as Alfred Pennyworth Benedict Cumbarbatch as Edward Nygma / The Riddler Christoph Waltz as Hugo Strange Viggo Mortensen as Roman Sionis / Black Mask David Bowie as Jonathan Crane / The Scarecrow Robert DeNiro as Carmine Falcone Al Pacino as Salvatore Maroni And after watching the Kick Ass 2 trailer I'd love to see Jim Carrey as a batman villain again. Not in over-the-top-mode as in BF, though.

You know, whenever I see Cumberbatch mentioned on casting threads it's always for a villain, but what if he were to play the hero? Could he be Bruce, or would he look strange in the cowl?

What about Dustin Clare (Gannicus from Spartacus) as Bruce Wayne/Batman?

Karl Urban for Batman would be great. Or Manu Bennett. Manu has certainly got the physique to pull off quite the intimidating Batman; something we haven't really seen yet on film. He's not a bad actor either, based on his role in Spartacus. He can certainly do grim and intense.

Cumberbatch is too ugly for sure. Disgusting looking man, but perfect for villain roles

Batman/Bruce Wayne - Matt Bomer (White Collar) Robin/Damian Wayne - Jared Gilmore or Preston Bailey Nightwing/Dick Grayson - Zac Efron Red Robin/Tim Drake - Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson & The Olympians) Red Hood/Jason Todd - Christian Antidormi Batgirl/Barbara Gordon - Victoria Hester Alfred - Jerome Flynn (Ripper Street) I want an Alfred that can actually kick a little butt, and doesn't seem frail and really old. I don't really care who they cast as Batman, because the Justice League movie is going to suck balls.
If they do make any future Batman movies though, I hope they don't cast it based on looks. Michael Keaton is about as un-Batman looking as you can get, yet he gave arguably the best performance. Ah **** it, just get the dude from Twilight.
