I highly doubt that is going to happen. You might want to set your sights on someone else.

You do know she was the front runner for Black Widow, right? It was only because she couldn't give dates due to another film she was doing at that time, the studio decided on Scarlet!

Just checked and yup Blunt has a movie with Tom Cruise coming out March of next year where she plays a special forces warrior. Looper shows a taste of her toughness and serious acting but I imagine this next movie will show her in better shape and kicking major ass. I guess we'll see trailers for it this year so we'll know what we're dealing with.

You have to remember Nolan and now Snyder are big into casting actors where ur scratching ur head like "him??" and then it works out perfectly. Amy Adams in the newest of that bunch. But there's evidence with Heath Ledger, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway and Liam Neeson.

I stuck through all of Haywire, and though I'll give her credit for looking totally convincing in the fight scenes, I found Carano's performance more grating as it went along. I think 90% of her lines must've been in monotone. Maybe that's how Soderbergh wanted her to say her lines, but I need to see her exhibit more range before I can endorse her for WW.

I guess Cruise is going the sci-fi route?

The point being... NOT just a "comedy role type actress"!

My question is do they wait for the script or do they start looking for potential actresses first.

Script first, definitely! Is there any other way?

The lines were monotone, I agree. Having her voice deepened in post-production contributed to that. And the character was a very no-nonsense trained assassin, so didn't show much emotion. Carano does still need to prove herself as an actress. But because of the nature of that first role, I don't write her off immediately.

Nope, people didn't know he was Ras because it was secret. He was cast as Henri Ducard, and as Ducard Liam was perfect. But from what people tell me, when it leaked that he was actually Ras Al Ghul people weren't sure cuz he never played a villain. Also Daniel Day Lewis (who was offered the role)...THAT is Ras Al Ghul but Liam Neeson? Not so much. But he absolutely nailed it. DDL on the other hand probably wouldn't have played Ducard very well. Liam Neeson was born for those roles. The father-figure, mentor, trainer type.

DDL turned down the role of Ra's because the shooting schedule was too tight. He needed to live another 1,000 years in order to really get into the mindset of the character. But Batman Begins had to go into production way before that.

Yeah that's what im saying. Of course Liam is the lesser example. Oldman, Ledger, Hathaway, Hardy, Amy Adams are what people have to look at and choose to open their minds about the casting of the League. If they're good enough actors, they'll pull it off.

Oldman as Gordon is probably the weirdest choice of all time next to Ledger playing Joker. People would have thought Gary playing Joker was more suitable.

Yup, it worked out great too cuz Liam had to start off as Ducard and it was perfect for him. So when he makes the turn into Ras it has more impact cuz ur not used to him playing a villain. DDL you would expect it from the start I think.

Up to Jim Gordon all Gary Oldman ever played was a villain.

If it wasn't for their height and build, you would think Liam could play Gordon and Oldman could play Ras! But nope, they did the opposite.

I was for sure I thought Cilian Murphy was going to play the Joker; but I could see the Joker in Heath when the news broke.

Nice, good eye. I was 50/50 about it but I loved Begins so much that I trusted it eventually.

So if Nolan/Snyder cast somebody unexpected for WW, my advice to everyone is don't get all crazy. Just trust in it and wait. Cuz they know what they're doing.

Ill be disappointed if its not Emily Blunt but that's on me. but I wont slag off the actress chosen. Unless it's Gina Carano LOL then ill know it's because she just kicks ass in MMA.
