Yeah, exactly. I always figured Cyke as a 16 year old in origins, while Gambit was about 20-21.

Taylor has 32 years old rigth now.
So someone now tell me he cant play a 35-40 years old Remy once Fox decides to do a sequel set in present time, lol. Lets say Gambit had 18 on Origins and will have 38 on a possible X4 or X5, however you wanna call it. Is it still wrong to some of you guys? no joke. is still wrong?

Come to think about it, the Danger Room sequence from X3 could make a trailer for DOFT - some serious **** getting blown up in "The not too distant future...", all the returning X-Men fighting against a Sentinel...

It would just diminish the fact that Wolverine hasn't aged at all since Origins (when he actually has) and Gambit would be in the same boat kinda. Which would make Wolverine's healing factor less...important. Ykno, when Stryker looks so different in even less of an amount of time.

I doubt THAT much time has passed, unless Paquin and Page are playing 40-year-olds...

It's well established in X1 and X2 that Logan got his adamantium skeleton 15 years before the first movie. Xavier and Stryker say that.
So I don't give a **** what XMO says (they don't really say much as no exact dates are ever given in that film), the 3 Mile Island event happened 15 years before X1.

So Origins is in 85. Its still gonna be more then 15 years. X3 takes place in 05 right? I would assume something close to another five-ten years have passed between then and DOFP.

Man, things are already **** up as they are between individual OT films and FC, but I feel Origins ****ed up everything irreversibly...
It would be easier to just ignore its existence than to try and explain even half of the plot-holes it brought up.

We have no dates for any film in the OT. All we know is that X1-3 spans about one year, or even less.

The chronological timeline of this franchise is not 100% realistic. So I dont get how now some fans want Gambit to be recast and that he should look around 50's years old, or to dont appear at all. Movies are fiction, guys. Fiction. Actors age wont ever be realistic.

Well, I do think he should be recast. But 50 is a bit ridiculous. 40 is fine. And if Anna can act opposite/be married to 43 year old Stephen Moyer, then she could certainly be paired with a 40 year old Gambit.

Haha, yeah. It also messes with your perception when you realize Logan has literally spent just a few days with Jean before she dies at the end of X2. Kind of makes his love for her a bit ridiculous.

And the makeup crew could age him a little bit, in case is so pivotal to some fans, lol what do you think? can a 35 years old actor play Gambit? along with cast mates Anna, James and co. ?

They would definitely have to make him up. Curse his youthful appearance.

But I wouldn't mind if they bring back Taylor to appear with the modern X-Men team, as long as they can come-up with a believable explanation.
