What kind of "positive" comments do they even want? Like, how the movie would still be good and all that? Or Ramsay bashing?

Something odd is going on over there. I don't mean Hollywood odd, like odd odd.

I think he wants new Ramsay bashing so he can be in the clear.

I think Terry Gilliam passed his curse onto this production.

I don't know, but her film, We Need to Talk About Kevin, was pretty damn powerful. I think she'll get another shot, especially if this producer guy is as big of a douche as it sounds like he is.

The thing that sucks is that if this thing falls apart, it would e a huge shame.
With the original cast, you had Fassbender and Edgerton (spelling?), two of the most versatile actors out there who you couldn't categorized. Are they character actors, are they method actors, or little bit of both? Thats their intrigue. And Portman is just pure class.

This production is such a mess that I think the director might get out of it okay. That is why I used "if" and didn't condemn her because we only have one side of the story. She is going to have to get her side out sooner or later though.

The word on twitter is that everything is not what it seems and the producer could be a sleazy dude.

If that's the case, then she needs to get ahead of this thing. The producer has already done a lot of damage to her reputation.

And if it turns out that Fassbender left because of the original director, it'd be great if he came back and took over Law's role.

Her people need to put that story out there then because she is getting the brunt of the bad press right now. Being silent isn't helping.

She needs to talk soon. In regards with her career, if she can spin this, or if the truth comes out that the producer is the real villain, she'll be fine. She's hardcore talent, and one of the few female directors with pull, and we need more of that.

Yeah, I don't see that happening. Didn't he drop out due to scheduling conflicts with XMDoFP? I don't see any change happening on that front.

Yeah, he left because of X-Men not because of any drama. People are trying to spin this as if he dropped out for other reasons but that's all hyperbole junk.

i honestly dont think she can spin this there is no possible excuse to be made from her that should result in her jut not showing up

unhappy with script, producer, etc. leave the project then don't just not show up for work

In one of the articles, it said that the real reason Fassy dropped out was because he and Ramsay weren't agreeing on things.

Found the article:

http://m.screendaily.com/5053105.article

"Earlier this month Portmanís leading man Michael Fassbender left the project after what sources claim was a falling-out with the director."

Just going by the numerous reports here and there of what apparently happened:

- Fassbender backed out after having a fall-out with Ramsey two weeks before production.
- Fassbender's involvement brought an additional $9M to the budger (brought by the foreign investors) so when he left the budget was cut by $9M (from $25M to $16M).
- Ramsey wasn't comfortable changing her vision 2 weeks before the production date because of the budget cut.
- The producer brought in Law who wasn't Ramsey's choice.

...and then all hell broke loose...

Wow, so Fassy and Ramsay probably buttheads: Fassy is known to be a grounded dude too. I was trying to give Ramsay the benefit of the doubt despite many rumors of her being difficult..
