I'm really excited to see how Viper fights in this movie, if at all. And I hope she gets to fight Wolverine. I think that has potential to be even better than the Lady Deathstrike fight in X2.

10 years and Deathstrike vs Wolverine is still at the top of the list for the fights in X-Films. Hopefully Viper can fix that.

I think it will. Remember how surprised Logan was to find out Deathstrike was just like him, but with more claws? Just imagine Logan's reaction when he discovers that Viper's deadly toxins slow or negate his healing factor.

It's gonna be priceless.

Funny how women keep on surprising Wolverine in these movies with their abilities, then give him a good fight. Mystique did it in X1 and Deathstrike did it in X2. It's Viper's turn.

Well I think Viper will definitely have more lines than Lady Deathstrike in X2. Plus she seems more commanding and more ruthless.

She doesn't seem like a fighter like Lady Deathstrike, she's more like Emma Frost. But I hope she's mix of both, kinda like Black Widow.

Needs the green lipstick and hair, and I'd even forgive the hair if it was black or at least dark. So that's a fail on looks.

Acting? We'll see.

Meh. Just because it doesn't mimick the comic book look doesn't mean it's fail. That's a rather narrow point of view.

Not really. Would you be happy with a bald Wolverine, or a brunette Storm or Jean Grey? It's one of the characters most distinctive features. So yes, on a costuming or character design level, it fails. It might not be major complaint but it is a legitimate one. I'm sorry my feelings on it upset you so.

Green hair wouldn't work as well on film, IMO... I'm glad they went with the blonde version:

They could have still made it work with black hair, green highlights and green lipstick. I'm thinking they'll use that for Marvel's Madame Hydra whenever she makes an appearance, though.

It would have worked as well as any character who's had dyed hair in a movie. As I said, it'd didn't even have to be green. Black or even black with a greenish tint would have been fine.

Well, yes, they could have got it to work:

But personally I like the contrast of the Blonde/Green better:

I like the blonde hair as well, green hair would have been too cosplay IMO. Besides she looks more eastern European with the blonde hair, although it doesn't matter.

Yeah, from a design standpoint the contrast just works on every level.

Maybe they're keeping green hair for Polaris, if she ever shows up in an X-movie.

Black hair with just a hint of green would've been good
Green lipstick would've been good too

I agree with someone over on the Avengers board who said she kinda looks like Amora

but as long as she's a badass, it don't bother me none

I don't have a problem with Viper not having green hair because of that picture from the comics.

So its not like they gave Polaris or Abigail Brand a blonde hair who didn't have a different hair color besides green in the comics.

That's not surprising, I doubt you'd ever heard of Viper before a year or two ago. Google Image search the character; the vast majority of pics shows her classic design, that she's worn for decades.

So it's cool to change the depiction of a decades old character because they haven't yet mangled the appearance of much newer characters onscreen yet? What the ****?

Viper is not even a well-known character in the comics, compare to Storm or Polaris. Not at lot of people complained when Leech's skin was green in X3. If they gave Storm a different hair color, I would complain, if they Polaris a different hair color, I would complain, when they gave Psylocke violet highlights in X3 instead of full violet hair, I complained about that. But Viper, she's not even a X-Men or a very popular villain. Before I wanted her to have the green hair but now that I've seen the look and the fact she had blonde hair in the comics and it works better with her costume. I'm not gonna complain.

And you're always judging me based on wrong assumptions. First you thought I haven't seen any of Snyder's films and now you're saying I haven't heard of Viper. I haven't read a comic-book that featured her but I already saw her in X-Men: Evolution (thats more than 2 years ago FYI), the facebook game Marvel Avengers Alliance and in the Nick Fury movie.

Seriously, this sort of fundamentalist/purist approach is ridiculous. Comics and films are two completely different mediums, and the looks of the characters will not always be 100% transferable from the former to the latter (at least, not without it looking like bad fancy dress!).
