Today's episode was actually pretty good for this show I thought. Ollie Osnick- the Spider-Kid/ Steel Spider showed up! The humor also landed a bit better most times this episode, with minimum cutaways. The cutaways werent too bad this ep.

Whenever someone says "Minimum Cutaways" the result is out of the water
Probably less annoying than most episodes in the view of the one commenting, not less cutaways

I knew it, looking at that costume I knew it had to be Ollie, at least was reminded of him

That's one character I never expected to see in a cartoon, especially in such a large role in an episode. So I thought that was cool to see.

While I think that this episode made NO sense, it was pretty enjoyable. BTW, anybody pretty mad at how one-dimensional JJ is?

Agreed, and yeah. I wonder what they're gonna do with JJJ because they're introducing Man-Wolf in a few episodes.

I don't like how they got JK Simmons back to voice JJJ and all they've had him do is spout random muffled tirades over the jumbo tron in Times Square. He's only appeared in person in what, one episode so far? Big waste if you ask me.

I gotta say too that when I saw Ollie and the whole sidekick thing, it reminded me alot of Buddy in the Incredibles.

Oh my god. Just when I thought this show was starting to get better, they pull this.

A COMPLETE INCREDIBLES RIP OFF!

Everything in this episode was either making fun of Batman or stealing from the incredibles. What a piece of crap episode.

The Incredibles was a Fantastic Four ripoff. So . . . whatever works. The Incredibles didn't invent that convention anyway.

The Incredibles was a tribute to 60's superheroes and and old school stories such as James Bond.

But the plot of a powerless sidekick who is a genius and gets turned down by the superhero only to come back for revenge is NOT a rip off of anything. This episode stole that plot almost beat for beat, the only difference is Ollie being redeemed in the end.

Completely....
They NERFED Jameson... How the hell do you do that!?
And episode of Earth's Mightiest Heroes gave JJ more to do, than a series based off THE FRANCHISE HE'S FROM.... That, is just sad...

Incredibles ripped off Fantastic Four blatantly. Good artists steal.

They did not invent that subplot either.

What motivated Osnick to become a sidekick of a teen immature clumsy oaf for a hero from another town? At least the kid from Incredibles was in the same town

Steal is such a harsh word. I would say "were inspired by".

On the topic of Drake Bell replacing Josh Keaton.... Still pretty pissed off.
There was no reason for Josh to be replaced. He's like, the Kevin Conroy of Spider-Man. Drake isn't horrible... I mean, he did a pretty good job on that episode of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, but he's pretty annoying in this show. I mean, c'mon man...

I spoke with Josh at the Transformers: Prime premiere. He told me when he started playing Spider-Man he received a lot of hate because he wasn't like the 90's cartoon version.

Really....? What kinda crack were those people smoking at the time? It would be so odd to hear Christopher Daniel Barnes voice come out of 16-year old Peter Parker in The Spectacular Spider-Man...
Even if they go all overly-nostalgic about Chris Dan Barnes voice, they should be able to see how stupid that would be.

Cutaways in this episode really are low compared to most episodes
Two moments in this episode took me back to Spidey Goes to Hollywood from Spider-Friends
Key to the city reminds me of Spider-Man 3

People didn't think he was as good in comparison.

The point is that goes to show how spoiled and fickle and also disrespectful and idiotic they can be. Not unlike how some fans are now toward Ultimate Spider-Man.

Try people complaining about Peter being too skinny in Spectacular.(when he's supposed to be) That show was about a teenage Peter who had recently became Spider-man. It would have been dumb if he was muscular like he was in the 90s cartoon.

If anything Peter was much too muscular in the 90s cartoon. Even moreso than Spider-man. He was even shown to be muscular in flashbacks before he even got bitten. When I look at him in that cartoon, I have a hard time believing a guy his size could have been pushed around by Flash Thompson

Episode has been voted 3/5 stars for its final vote. The episode was good but not Ultimate. can't wait for next episode that is possibly being aired on March 31, 2013(Easter Sunday)

I remembered that idiocy dying down with Josh's Spidey, which is more than I can say for Drake's.

It died down but the hate was still there. How quickly fans forget and how short-term their memories can be.
