There isn't exactly a line to make a Wonder Woman movie.

And after the failed TV show, it's going to stay that way for a while. Granted, even though I don't care for Wonder Woman, I certainly think they could do something with her, but no one is pining for a Wonder Woman movie, or even seeing her at all on the big screen.

People love Batman, they have loved Superman (let's see if this reboot revives that love), combine them, and you could have the biggest crowd draw ever. Wonder Woman, with her very different world (pseudo-mythology and all that), would be out of place at best, and dead weight at worst.

^ Which is a why a Trinity movie is the best solution, WW can be the backbone of the story, with Superman and Batman along for the ride. It's win-win. Besides the more characters we get out of the way before JL the better, and to me anyway, it's a far more natural progression to slowly build up the team members as opposed to just dumping them all into one film.

There wasn't a line to make a Thor movie either.

That was a hit.

It was reasonably successful I don't if you'd call it a hit per se. But the point is taken.

I'm just saying that the character of WW could be successful, given Thor's success. Trinity still makes more sense than a WW solo, financially speaking.

Financially it's a win-win situation, it gets WW on screen but has the safety net of Bats and Big Blue. Not ideal but it's a compromise I can live with.

Can't tell if you're serious about Wonder Woman being the backbone, and the two biggest superhero characters being "along for the ride".

Assuming they could even make Wonder Woman work in live action.

I didn't mean that literally, I meant to have the story Wonder Woman focused.

Best you can hope for is that they have her somewhere in the back of a Justice League movie.

Worst, well, they already did that TV show. But a lackluster solo film could still happen.

First of all I just want to say how happy I am that this idea is getting a lot of back-and-forth. So proud.

Back to the topic.

Yes Thor was successful (I met Chris Hemsworth at Comic-Con once, he was awesome, as was the movie!) but the problem as we've said is that they took their own risk with GL and it didn't pan out. And that was at the height of it's popularity in the comics with Geoff Johns and Blackest Night.

And as JMC said the WW and other DC movies have been in development heck forever. Personally I think the problem is getting a dedicated director and an actress who people would believe to be Wonder Woman.

FOATF suggested Nolan as a universal director for the lead-up to Justice League and I think that's great if he would do it. The actress thing is up for debate (maybe we'll do that next) but the key is "would people want to watch a WW movie?" as stated above.

With WF and then Trinity we get to have them all together as a combined draw instead of just Batman or Superman or Wonder Woman and we get one step closer to Justice League without the risk of solo films.

A new idea came to me today while I was working (I work in a warehouse, lot of time to think) and I thought of a way to mix the origin of Wonder Woman with the story of Trinity to make it more coherent. Here we go.

At the end of World's Finest, more specifically at the end of the credits so it'll be a bonus scene to tease Trinity, we'll get a shot of Themyscira and a scene with Queen Hippolyta. A message will be delivered to her by one of the amazons, she'll read it, her face will show an expression of pure terror and she'll say only two words, "He's coming."

Cut to Trinity, where we get the fallout from that message. Hippolyta was alerted by the gods that Darkseid has his sights set on Earth and has sent some of his minions to a city known as Metropolis and that she is hereby ordered to send one of her best amazons to assist in defending the city against this threat.

Therefore she orders all her amazons to compete in a contest of strength and skill. The winner will recieve magical armor and have the honor to represent them in the fight to come.

Naturally Diana wants to fight, her mother forbids it, but she knows what she must do so she diguises herself and wins the contest and against her wishes gets the armor and heads off for Metropolis.

Then during the first (or second) major fight between Batman/Superman and the minions of Darkseid (Kalibak, Desaad and the Female Furies) the boys aren't holding the line and WW comes in to turn the tide.

This way there are serious ties to the Wonder Woman origin while also being a good storyline as to why she came to fight in the world of man.

What do you think? Too much? Too little? Just right? Stop asking questions? Let me know?
