Not to mention that a loose continuity series wouldn't go out of its way to say 'these events never happened' unless it was necessary for one of the later sequels (in case they wanted to do a Casino Royale scenario).
But that's my point. How do you keep a franchise like spiderman loose like that when its not all about "villains and missions"

Supposedly an earlier version of Oscorp, compared to the more recent photos we've seen in which Oscorp's environment is much more cold.
Ivery been thinking the same. Especially due to his clothing style. I think its pretty plausible

Am I the only one that thinks Green Goblin's look will be achieved similarly to Red Skull IN CA:TFA?

Just seems like the most likely method to me.

Fair enough. I just thought that's what you were saying.

I don't think it's that complicated. At least no more so than Bond. You'd just have to set out with the next film you would set out what you keep, what you excise and don't acknowledge in much the same way. At the same time you wouldn't actively contradict, at least not in the most obvious way, previous continuity. Not unless you were pulling a Casino Royal.

I'm not pretending it would be easy, both approaches would have their downsides, but when it comes to a series going on ten or so movies then I would put my money on the Bond approach.

id rather batman it personally... keep some characters for as long as they wish to play the part, and keep the continuity in tact even if the film styles stray.

no, im talking about the original 4... they were all in continuity with each other even though batman and Dent changed... robin, gordon, and alfred did not.

and sometimes the event of the past film actually had a reference, like Nicole Kidman's line about Catwoman.....

it's loose, but all still canon.

i really hope you're right because i have a deep sinking feeling the will go the ultimate goblin route to make it even more different that dafoe

Yeah, I could live with that. As long as they don't have a film as campy and cringe worthy as Batman & Robin. lol

Almost positive it is. How else could you explain those gigantic green walls and cranes with light attachments?

It is.

Pics came out of it a few week ago showing a replica of the tkts steps being built on that set.

Also, a report came out a few weeks ago that green screens and lighting were being erected to replicate the times square lights and billboards.

who hopes the times square fight is during the day?

i'm a bit on the fence. on one hand, i want some daytime spidey action something fierce after the first movie.. but on the other hand, to have all those screens lit up at night + electro doing his things just seems like a no brainer.

as long as we get a decent amount of spider-man outside in new york during the day, then the times square battle should be at night i suppose.

That is an incredibly left field choice. Though considering his career, maybe it's not so unexpected.

On a side note I was just watching the episode of Top Gear he was on the other day.
