They already are. I've never understood this though, they aren't literally an Avengers team, they're just using the branding to sale books. How is it hurting anyone exactly? I'm personally excited to see Hank and Vision FINALLY being given some spotlight in Marvel NOW.

Hey, thanks for the update. I'm way behind on current continuity (besisides Daredevil, been reading a lot of older stories for about the past year and a half)

US Agent has been totally healed in the pages of Dark Avengers and is active. His limbs were regrown by an alternate reality tech. He's back wearing the original costume and fighting crime. That book has a month or so left, so he is currently active in a marvel book.

I've seen Herc too , maybe FF or something, cant remember.

I think too many books with the title dilute the line. Also books with stupid premises hurt the characters.....example: let's say someone is a fan of Rice Krispy Treats Man, if he shows up in CSI:Avengers and the book flops then Marvel will take that as a sign people don't want to read a book with RKTM.

This is the best example ever. I would totally read a book with Rice Krispy Treats Man.

I'm sure he'd be in a new Ren & Stimpy comic if there was one. Get Dan Slott back on that and it could happen.

Stupid premises? I don't think there is such a thing as a stupid premise in comics. The point of them is that you're able to do wacky, zany stuff you couldn't in other mediums.

Normally, I'd agree.

But I think there's a definite difference between a wacky and weird premise, and blatant attempt at a money grab, which books like Avengers Arena most definitely are.

Perfect example is the Bendis Moon Knight book...I like MK, can't stand Bendis...the whole premise was stupid...and marvel will see that as a sign not to do another MK book.

All-New, All-Different is used often at Marvel Comics, and "Superior" has become the new indication of a big change to an existing Marvel concept, at least as far as Spider-Man's corner of the universe is concerned. Now the Sinister Six gets superior with Superior Foes of Spider-Man, a new ongoing series by writer Nick Spencer and artist Steve Lieber.

The new Sinister Six in this story will feature Boomerang, Shocker Speed Demon, the Beetle, and Overdrive. Spencer told Marvel.com he chose "the working class guys" on purpose, and Boomerang will be the point-of-view character for much of the story, and he's the one in charge.

"It's Boomerang's gang, though obviously, these characters being who they are, that authority won't go unquestioned."

Spider-Man will of course be a part of the story, and the new Sinister Six will be able to tell that something is amiss with the web head.

"With the number of times Spidey's gone head to head with them, of course they're going to notice changes. In some ways, they know Spider-Man better than anyone," said Spencer.

The book won't just feature these villains in their costumes pulling off crimes, though; the plan is to explore the secret identities of the villains in a way usually reserved for heroes.

"A big part of this book is definitely showing you the life behind the costume. A lot of the time we spend with them, the masks are off. That was actually my pitch here: that these guys, they're actually a lot like Spider-Man, in the classic sense of the character," said Spencer. "They don't have the innate nobility or the desire to do the right thing, but they're hard-luck stories, just like Peter Parker is/was. They're not shooting for the stars so much as trying to survive. Every time they win in one part of their lives, they lose in another. So there's something intrinsically cool and intriguing about that mirror aspect of the relationship."

What do you guys think? I'm all for it. It's the first big reveal of Superior Spider-Man week. Sounds great and I wonder will they pick someone to fill in for the Living Brain in the Sinister Six

It looks like something straight out of Pixar.

And it also looks like the Spider-Man line is reaching over-saturation. I've been enjoying the hell out of the Superior era but sometimes you have to call 'em as you see 'em.

I love the idea of Spidey Villains book! Especially one that explores their secret identities. Not all those characters are my favorite, but I like Shocker and Boomerang and the overall idea. Nick Spencer hasn't really wowed me as a writer yet, but I'll definitely give this book a chance when it comes out. Hopefully it can fill the void left by Thunderbolts when it changed to Dark Avengers.

I love the A+X 7 cover, but I think a Spidey villains book is a great idea. But the choice villains is odd. I'd read a Sinister Six book but don't know what to think of this.

Ever since someone mentioned the idea of Gaiman on Doctor Strange, I am going to be disappointed by any other writer.

I like Shocker a lot, but not enough to pick that book up. Plus, I don't like the title. It seems like one of those instances when Marvel tags a popular term to a title without it making sense, like "New" Avengers. When I think of Spidey's Superior foes, not a one of those characters come to mind. I didn't even know there was a female Beetle. And I had to look up Overdrive to see who he was. I read him once in a Black Panther comic a year or two ago.

I gotta say, my idea for a Deadly Foes of Spider-Man ongoing is so much better, also starring Shocker and Speed Demon

True. Other than maybe Batman, Spider-Man does have a Superior rogues gallery compared to any other hero, but these ain't them.

Maybe the book will expand beyond those five characters as it goes on. They should ditch Speed Demon and Overdrive and swap in the likes of The Spot, Scorpion, Smythe, Molten Man, Electro, Hydro-Man, or Mysterio.

I would actually really like to know what Mysterio's been up to since he seemingly got away with a big pay day during "Ends of the Earth."

It's kinda nice that Marvel is at least attempting to spotlight lesser known characters.

Plus, after getting the crap beaten out of them in Superior #1, I think they're all going to realize that if Spider-Man amped up his game, then maybe the villains need to as well... remember, Boomerang was one punch away from getting killed... that's gotta play with your head when you're in the "villain" business...

Also, if this series lasts 12 issues or more, then what it tells me that SpOck will be around as Spider-Man a lot longer than I might have originally thought...

Superior Carnage

While I have no interest in the Wizard, I do like Carnage... but without Kletus? I dunno. I'll skim it.
