It would take alot for an X-Men film not to appeal to the general public. That's their audience. They just havnt had that stand out crowd pleaser like some of the other franchises. If DOFP doesn't appeal to the general public, then something is up and wrong haha. This film should have no problem being the highest grosser of the series.

Fox owns so many X characters it would be a shame if they didn't. As long as they follow through with a phase type plan and keep continuity in check it can be quite profitable for them. Probably would still be even if they didn't. Anything with X-Men in the title is pretty much guaranteed 300 mil WW.

singer has said he feels there is more to this franchise then just original films and wolverine films, that includes first class films and other possible spin offs

Exactly -- and with Xmen you have had such a good track record of being more than just a dumb comic-film with heavy CGI -- the social commentary aspects are not lost on people. With time travel it'd be better still. I just hate it that the target audience for these films seem to be lost somewhere between intelligent thinkers of serious film, and summer-blockbuster fun. Oh well. THat's why we love the genre!

I'd love to see more of FC. I admit it. And there's still so much more X-Men to explore.

Stand-alone Angel movie? Excalibur? Cable?

Grympy Cat Magneto is funny! And is that the young Magneto helmet design? I hope so, cause it looks totally awesome.

If so, I can't wait to see Fassbender rock it. Cause it looks fantastic, best live action Magneto helmet so far! Love the colors and the slickness of the design.

could that be a tease of the actual helmet of Michael?

a similar take, I mean, not exactly the same design, but a closer take

I see a version a bit closer to old Magneto helmet, just a bit. less details, and a bit more sophisticated, while still keeping the iconic colours.

Id make them darker, tho.

I like it! It's a good intermediate helmet between the one at the end of FC and the OT helmet.

Other than them trying to make it look closer to the comic books, I never totally liked the helmet Magneto had at the end of FC. It felt clunky and sloppy, with colors that looked off together.

Everything looks better in Grumpy Magneto Cat's helmet. The colors, the horn, the size etc. Overall sleeker and more streamlined, with colors that look great together.

The helmet looked really good in grey. Purple is just harder to make work being purple n'all but I'd like to see Fassbender try the new one. I want comic style as far as possible.

Its sweet because it looks like the same base of the helmet from FC but the top is modified and looks more like the McKellen one.

Both Beast and now Magneto's helmet looks like a mix of FC and the OT.

Seems like Singer is taking this "inbetwequel" thing quite literally.

I guess those worried that we'd lose the color and vibrancy from First Class need not anymore. The helmet is the same colors, and Beast is even bluer!
