Pupils are really hard to do, unless they CG them in all the shots. For people to actually see they have to have the black part of their eyes visible. If they use white contacts to cover that up completely the person will be blind. But I guess they could do the CG thing. Not sure if they have to. Plus concept art is just suggestions by artists, sort of.

I'm not sure. In the first concept art it looks like there are some type of pupils there. I just can't tell if they're a darker or lighter shade. And if that blue girl is supposed to be Gamora in the recent art, she has visible pupils.

Yep, she'll make a fine Gamora on promotional art.

I really hope they won't make her blue instead of green. Whatever their reasons, It would be like making Hulk blue or Thor bald.
They could just make her a different shade of green than Drax.

The only reason I could see to make her blue instead of green is if they wanted to make her Kree instead of Zen-Whoberian.

I don't know... I think I would be less upset if they make Drax blue instead of Gamora.
Or some corpse-like pale blue/green.

But Gamora has to be exotic, vivid green.

Well, she didn't have much to do in the original series, sign of the times as it was.

Haha, then we get the complaints from Trekkies about how they turned her into an action chick when she's just supposed to be eye candy.

She was black and a woman, double whammy.

Actually it won't because no one knows who the **** Gamora is. Including most comic book fans. Marvel has earned some artistic license. Especially when it comes to details like the skin color of an obscure character.

Ive been familiar with Gamora & co. since Annihilation and I could not give two ****s that shes bluish instead of greenish. Not important.

That would be truly pathetic and ridiculous...therefore I'm sure it'll happen.

I honestly never realized how obscure the Guardians and Gamora were. I thought most comic fans knew about her through the Infinity events and the Guardians were given some pretty decent coverage on CBR.

I may have overstated her obscurity to the regular cb reader. Particularly those folks who are Marvel Cosmic fans from way back. But my point still stands.

I give a **** if she's blue or green though because she's ****ing green. There's no legitimate reason to change her skin color.

Going into Annihilation and the Guardians of the Galaxy books, I knew Adam Warlock, Gamora, Moon Dragon, Drax, Major Victory and Mantis. I had no clue who any of the other characters were.

Congratulations to Zoe Saldana!

Zoe Saldana (Avatar, "Star Trek" films) was asked at the London premiere for Star Trek Into Darkness about playing Gamora in Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy and you can check out her response below!

Guardians of the Galaxy features an unlikely cast of characters who must team up in order to defeat a cosmic force of epic proportions. Directed by James Gunn, the August 1, 2014 release will also stars Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker, Ophelia Lovibond and Lee Pace.
I love Zoe and I love her enthusiasm. I wonder if she has any affection for science? She has been in a lot of cool science fiction! It's a great casting choice and it gives this film a bit of star power too.

The only problem I have with Zoe Saldana playing Gamora is that she looks way too skinny and frail, as if a strong gust of wind will knock her down easily.

And I highly doubt she will ever bulk up for the role as she has always been that thin in all her movies.

Isn't Gamora supposed to be physically intimidating?

But I do agree she's a great actress and I admire her enthusiasm.
