He left it at Alcatraz to get destroyed along with Juggarnaut, Pyro, and any other downed mutants.

I still hope Cameron Bright returns as Leech, the X-Men might be protecting him since they haven't been able to create the cure after X3's climax.

Yeah he was running away from Jean Grey after he got cured and he wasn't wearing his helmet.

The only way that he can have his helmet is if he steal or borrow the 70's Magneto's helmet.

I honestly think Ian should get a helmet at some point, I would imagine he has more helmets already knowing that there are at least 2 different ones in the past (the one he wore at the end of FC and the one revealed over the Grumpy Cat meme)

Anyone else think Rebecca Romaijn should come back as well? The cure clearly means nothing since we see Anna and Ian back, this would be a great opportunity to tie in her past relationship with Xavier into the original trilogy's story.

They shouldn't bring back Rebecca Romijn simply because they already have Jennifer Lawrence. And compare to her character to Professor X/Magneto, she's not that important. Plus they already wrapped her story in X3.

Her story with Magneto was wrapped, but I think it would be interesting to see 2 Mystiques, on opposite sides. Lawrence's version with Magneto, and Romijn's version back with Xavier (especially after Magneto dropping her as if it was nothing). I just simply think it would be a good way to address incredibly important relationships seen in FC with those that were seemingly non existent in the original trilogy to create one cohesive universe.

If they are gonna bring her back, then they should bring back Kelsey Grammar too. For me, since they are just supporting characters/ were supporting in the previous movies. 1 version of them is enough in this movie. Plus X3 wrapped their story, Beast moved to DC, Mystique and Magneto separated ways. I don't think they should bring them back and make a new story-arc for them just because their younger version is gonna appear in the movie. Its gonna be too much for the story.

I'd prefer that older Mystique be dead.

True, I entirely see what your point. I guess it's just wishful thinking, but that amount of characters should be reserved for a standalone film, not dividing the movie between two timelines.

As for Grammar's beast, however, though he is my favorite of the two versions, his character in particular should have been a casualty prior to the film. He was in DC, it would make the most sense for him to be the first of the many mutants worldwide to go.

I think with how she was treated by Magneto in X3 and how the cure was shown to be faulty, I'd like to see her working with Prof. Xavier and the X-men. Though if it's a dystopian future then I wouldn't be surprised if Magneto was working with them too (but they could show that things are still frosty between Magneto and Mystique).

Though I'm wondering since future Magneto has been said as not having his helmet that he might be in a mutant detention centre or something like that.

That's the only way? This is the Master of Magnetism, I'm sure if he needed a metal helmet he can make one.

But can he make a metal helmet that can deflect the telepaths from reading his mind? Sebastian Shaw didn't even give the helmet to Magneto, Magneto just took it from Shaw.

I do want to see older Mystique again, even if it's not necessarily in this film. Ever since they tied them together in FC, I am dying for a scene where Rebecca and Patrick get to acknowledge that history.

Fast and Furious 7 just got a release date of July 11, 2014.

Quote:
‘Fast And Furious 7′ Gets July 11, 2014 Release Date By THE DEADLINE TEAM | Tuesday April 16, 2013 @ 12:01pm

BREAKING: Star Vin Diesel just announced at CinemaCon that Universal‘s The Fast And The Furious 7 will be released July 11, 2014 with the entire cast — including Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson and Tyrese — set to return. That date is just more than a year after Fast And Furious 6, which opens May 24 and is still in postproduction. The studio is doing its presentation for exhibitors right now and Diesel is part of the group unveiling footage from the upcoming pic. Our Mike Fleming scooped that James Wan is in negotiations to direct the seventh installment of the franchise, which brings back longtime producer Neal H. Moritz of Original Film, and Chris Morgan is returning to write his fifth script and will be an exec producer. Production on the new one starts in August — a fast turnaround that begins right after the stars finish publicity on No. 6.

Be interesting to see if they stick to that. FaF7 has the potential to be a rushed mess, given how quickly it's being thrown into production, and so soon after FaF6.

I could see the audience being burnt out.

I'd see how well the next one does before coming to any conclusion. The Fast Films seem to do better as they go along. It will have a big drop second week regardless. X-Men should be more then fine.

When they stop making over 600ww and getting 80% RT. Even then probably never, Universal doesnt have much right now besides this and Jurassic. They will probably make more without the main crew.

This is probably DOFP's biggest competition in July. But I'm still confident that DOFP will open at #1.

And a 1 year gap for two Fast & Furious movies could hinder FF7 getting more than the FF6 and FF5. The audience will totally get burnt out by that. At least with X-Men, its not a back to back team movies.

Wow, I wonder if that's a good idea for the franchise. Back to back sequels?? It's not like comics movies or Harry Potter where there are specific places to go with the franchise.

Although I despise the movies, Fast Five was unprecedented in it's huge success. It revived the franchise and now they want to over-saturate?? I hate movie studios.

Universal made a bad call for that one, I guess they are very confident with the series but oh well, I'm not even a fan of that series.

I'm no fan either but Fast & Furious is a very popular series. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it was more popular than X-Men unfortunately.
