The dialogue in Webb's film feels more "realistic" than Raimi's films? How does that work?
Oh I get it! Because Smurfs are blue! Oh damn that's so clever and well put together, it's almost like you got that from somewhere else, somewhere where it was repeated a thousand times to a decent reception which is why you stated it with such confidence! You know who's also blue? Beast. And Dr. Manhattan. And Captain Planet. And Blue Beetle.

Id wager that the civilian characters and the personal relationships are more realistic in webbs movies but that's nothing to do with being grounded. Its just better acting and writing. It speaks nothing about the fantastical elements of the films.

I think he meant realistic as in what would happen if the Spidermanwas in real world. This can be seen in several scenes.

Although,Raimi's Spiderman did have some scenes like that this one definately feels more realistic.

Basically just that if these things actually happened, the things said and the way they were said feel more authentic to me. But that's just my opinion, I can relate more to Garfield as Peter than i can to Tobey. Someone may feel that Tobey's Peter was a more authentic character and that's fine too.

I'm no fan of the blue look but with added effects it might look great! I need a trailer or something to really tell if I like it or not.

electro was never really yellow though, was he? i mean, he was in tssm, but there he didn't really have a corporeal form.

where in the comics has electro had yellow skin? i know he had a yellow and green costume and his electric attacks were yellow, but is there any incarnation of the character that is like this, but yellow? :

this isn't a rhetorical question by the way.

It's hard to see how it's more realistic if you know nothing about movies, or anything. That's reflected not only by your question, but by the fact that you think the realism is hindered by the lizard. I could maybe see raimi's being more realistic if everybody besides James Franco and Topher Grace were playing people that don't know how to act. And script writers and a director that is terrible.

I wish people wouldn't even talk about the Webb and raimi trilogies in the same sentence.

see, but that's just max's natural skin tone, with yellow electricity. he isn't yellow in the same way that jamie is blue.

Of course it's more ****ing grounded, I feel like it's real life when I'm watching it. And if you had a mass amount of web silk for webshooters, you could be swinging around too.

Wouldn't Electro look more
generic and noticible if he was just Jamie Foxx with electrical CGI sparks added around him in a black suit? At least he's had a noticible transformation, a rebirth if you will. He doesn't have to
be Max Dillion anymore because he doesn't resemble him. He can be someone who he never had a chance to be. A badass mofo, who is
actually the equivlent of a high school kid from
the suburbs trying to act hard with a gun tucked under his shirt. He's possibly even more pathetic because of
it.

Yeah, Electro isn't yellow in USM, that's his skin color. Electro's lightning used to be yellow in 616, but nowadays it's blue, like TASM's.

so yeah, assuming i am not wrong and i have missed a comic incarnation of electro with yellow skin, the "electro should be yellow, not blue" arguments seem really random to me.

at least the blue is taken from the comics.

if anything, people who dislike the blue (which, you know, is fair enough, we all have our aesthetic likes and dislikes) should be arguing for jamie to simply have his natural skin tone. from there, you can state that his electricity should be yellow like in the comics.

to legitimately think he should have a simpsons-like pigmentation is just odd to me, sorry guys.

I can understand that, the electricity emanating from him makes him appear yellow but he still is actually his normal skin color.
