Would it be cool if Jean Grey and Polaris joins them.

YES.

They never made enough use of Jean's ability to levitate.

Leech's power/mutation is to be an inhibitor, not a catalyst.
For Rogue to get closer to the comic books, and be a bit more useful in battle, she has to have more power displays.

There are only a few scenarios.

If the film is set after X3 (in which she was cured), either the effect of the cure wore off, or it triggered a secondary mutation.

To me, it seems easier to believe that the cure was less effective with some mutants. Since Rogue's power takes the lifeforce of other beings on physical contact, her own biochemistry would be trying to absorb the power of Leech's DNA cure serum at the same time as the Leech serum was trying to cure her mutation.

The overall effect would initially be that her power and the cure cancelled each other out. But the serum doesn't increase in any way, whereas her body does naturally regenerate and replenish itself. So, over time, her power wins over the cure.

I'm with you on how you thought about it working. I just don't see how the "Leech serum" would trigger a 'secondary mutation'. Wear off after a while, yes. We even saw this in LS with the Magneto scene at the end, but create a different type of mutation/power... why would it? If they want to say it did I won't have a cow over it, but it doesn't make sense to me.

Hank's cure serum did exactly that.

Yeah, why did the "Mystique serum" create a secondary mutation in Beast?

At the end of the day, your mixing mutant DNA. I think that's all the explanation you need

But it didn't really trigger a secondary mutation it just significantly amplified his current mutation. I mean like Mystique said 'this is who you were born to be' his mutant x gene was aggravated it didn't add anything. That's different from a secondary mutation like Emma Frost's telepathy and diamond form. (although in the films it seems she was born like that)

See my previous comment on the subject so you see why I don't think it's the same thing.

I wonder why she's covering her bump? It's not like her pregnancy is a secret. She issued an official statement to the media outlets weeks ago, right?

I hope Halle Berry just wear a green suit or a tracker for her belly and the lower part of her body. I just can't imagine her in a flowy dress or some outfit that wants to trick us that she doesn't look pregnant or that Storm is not pregnant and people will not notice it. I just can't.

Maybe they'll have Storm piloting the Blackbird jet again like in X2, just because it's easy to hide a pregnant woman there behind the wheel. That's what they did with Amanda Righetti when she was pregnant in the Mentalist - she was just on desk or interrogation duty and never out in the field as such.

Honestly I would be surprised if she didn't pilot the X-Jet. She's done that in every X-Men movie she's appeared in. (Well the ones where she was portrayed by Halle Berry)

Save the jet flying scenes for when she's further along.

curiously I havent thought about the jet appearing on the future scenes yet.

For some reason, I think it doesnt fit this specific story.

The storyarc on the comic is so unique because its not a typical x-men story, where we see the x-men all together on the manssion, on the subway, the x-jet and all that stuff. Its a totally different story, so would be great if for a chance, we get a movie that dont use all that typical stuff of previous movies, but something more unique and totally different.

you know, the x-men splited, on prisions, and trying to survive on the streets, while trying to send someone to the past.

Halle isn't the first actress to be pregnant during a movie. Penelope Cruz was pregnant while filming pirates of the carribean and I don't think it was noticeable. And halle isnt even that big yet so unless she just blows up during filming I think it should be fine.

How long is the flight from LA to Montreal? Do you think we'll have pics of her arriving at an airport in Montreal by tomorrow, like we do of Hugh and Anna?
I know she has ac charity and is planning on going to different countries in Africa and Asia sometime this year I just hope that it isn't now and that she's going to film X-Men first or at least as much as she can of it while she's pregnant.

I'm not sure we'll get pictures. Perhaps, since Halle is pretty popular in the press at the minute due to the pregnancy, it's likely.

But Anna's second trip to Montreal managed to go unphotographed at the airport, and all visits by Ellen went unnoticed.

Depending on when she finishes filming X men I don't think she will be doing that much traveling since you aren't suppose tofly after you get to a certain point in your prpregnancy.

That's because they're not Halle Berry.

Yeah and she can still do her hurricane attacks!

Yeah I guess so, especially if their only trip in the movie is the past period.

But who knows if the 70s X-Men has a new jet and they use it to go to Washington D.C. and correct me if I'm wrong but someone said that the climax scene of the movie will take place there.
