The guy has this amazing freight train sort of presence when he is running shirtless on the shoreline. Very Superman, looks like he has the power of a locomotive in my opinion.
The film camera aids in the exaggeration. Remember the monstrous presence that was Hardy?

Yep, and it is definitely used to good effect here. Part of why I never got all of the arguments about Cavill's height or lack of size.

Read my previous post. That is actually really quite untrue unless taken to extremes. Also, watch Bigger Stronger Faster. Good movie.

Some can't even grasp the concept of hair dye. Movies are smoke and mirrors and you would think that some in this day and age would understand that.

It's why I don't care how old an actor is in real life, if they can convincingly play 5 or 10 years younger or older whocares how old they are in real life?

Amazing gif. But Supes would shatter the armor exterior and possibily kill Stark with those blows.

He pulls his punches because Supes is a good guy and doesn't kill people, especially other good guys duh

On the other hand Stark can withstand blows from Mjolnir, the armor's not exactly made out of tissue paper.

It's a great gif tho.

I think what Excelsior was trying to say is that Supes isn't pulling his punches in that particular scene. We all know he holds back when necessary.

IM 3 will be the most successful comic book movie this year though.

No, the back acne was the result of wearing a heavy winter coat in the middle of the summer. His shape in TDKR wasn't that impressive, it's easily (and I mean easily) achievable without the use of any steroids.

Back acne =/= Steroids. My friend who just started training has tons of back acne, and I see guys with it all the time at the gym, and most of them aren't really big.

Woah, I never said that back acne = steroids. However, it is a well-known side effect. I never thought about the coat thing. I know Hardy's size is achievable naturally, I've lifted for 5 years myself. However, given the fact that he was an actor under a tight schedule to get up in size after This Means War, I merely meant there were some things that pointed to use of anabolics. Furthermore, in regards to the folks at your gym, you would surprised how many steroid users have mediocre physiques. A lot of them get on the stuff thinking it is the easy way to muscle, not realizing that you still have to put in the hard work and that steroids just amplify your gains.

There was another thread on this issue but i believe a lot or most of these actors who bulk up quite quickly are likely on performance enhancers. Their responses are always "i ate a ton of chicken" to how they put on the mass so quick but i think there is more to that.

I mean there is a lot of pressure on these guys to get big fast.

Yeah, I remember it came up a lot when the first photos of Cavill shirtless came out. SuperMike was rather informative on the matter. If I remember correctly, he admitted to have used them in the past. Where is he when you need him... lol

I'm almost positive evans and hemsworth were on them but probably weren't for the avengers. They both looked noticeably leaner in that one. As for hardy i'm not sure? regardless of definition he did put on a lot of mass fast.

According to some it's a pretty common practice among some actors. Charlie sheen's been the only one to admit to it though. He admitted to juicing for a couple of his roles.

I don't think that Tom hardy really needed steroids to bulk up or to put on muscle, I mean he already was in good shape for the movie Bronson in 2008, then for Fighter in 2011, and then for Bane in TDKR.

It's not like he needed them at any point in past, so why would he take them for role of bane?
