Yeah, I see your point flickchick. I hope hollywood wakes up. The Hunger Games has started turning the tide, I think.

That's why Hollywood execs are just out of it.

Thank the Maker that M. Night's 'Last Airbender' didn't feature Asians as the leads. After it's failure, I can see execs chomping their cigars, shouting "Shee, them Asians can't carry a movie, shee!"

Just to be on the safe side they could cast Jennifer Lawrence, but she's young.

So I've been putting out feelers for info recently with the tiny amount of people I know in the industry (no one major) and one of them dropped a probable bombshell today.

Bear in mind that this is fourth-hand at best from shifting sands and my source is iffy about it so big grain of salt time.

Ready? Deep breath...

MOS2 is Justice League.

Towards the end of post on MOS WB fell in love with it and out of love with Will Beall's "separate universe" JL script. But they still want JL for 2015 and they also want a MOS sequel sooner rather than later.

So the plan is to slap the two together.

The only details given to me is JL is a direct sequel to MOS with Goyer writing and Snyder directing. After MOS Lex Luthor starts gathering supervillians for a "society" so Superman has to put together the League to fight them. Also the TDK trilogy is indeed separate so there will be a new Batman. No Bale or JGL.
Seriously %$@# this. I understand most people on here want this JL movie, but how can this possibly be seen as a good idea.

Also, I'm certain a Wonder Woman movie can be made. I'd love to see her get the same treatment as what Supes and Bats got with MOS and TDK. She is still a recognizable character with everyone. And all they need is to find her human angle and have her portrayed well by some new young female talent. Hunger Games is a great example of how people would get behind this.

Conversely she is a hard character to get right. I can't think of a single comics run of hers that is noteworthy. I liked her portrayal in Morrison/Waid's 90's JLA run. Azarello's has been good in sections, weak most of the time, and horrible quite a bit as well (when it delves into sexist misogynistic Greek parables). And I think that's a sign that most of the comics writers can't find the right angle for her. Not even Joss Whedon could. I'm hopeful Grant Morrison's Wonder Woman Earth One (this year?) will finally light the bulb in everyone's minds on how to approach her.

I'm huge fan of Jennifer Lawrence but I can't picture her as Wonder Woman.

I hope you're right. Frankly, with the way WB/DC has treated Wonder Woman over this last decade, demonstrating they haven't the slightest idea of what to do with her or what makes her great...I'm placing my hopes with Marvel when it comes to female superheroes. I think Black Widow was handled pretty well in the Avengers, and I think with Whedon "godfathering" the MCU for the time being, we're far more likely to see Ms./Captain Marvel kicking ass on the big screen before WW at this point. Only in a supporting role mind you, but still, just having a powerhouse superhero like her in a major blockbuster at all would be serious progress. Sad it likely won't be WW, considering she's the most iconic one there is, but WB not knowing what they have until Marvel shows them first is pretty much their m.o. these days.

She's the most popular young actress people can name these days though so of course she'll be fancast for everything from Wonder Woman to Olive Oyl, regardless of whether she's right for the part or not.

As far as Wonder Woman comics goes, I like Gail Simone's Wonder Woman stuff. Maybe I'm crazy though lol. I haven't read a lot of Wonder Woman books.

So you can book for tickets at some cinemas in UK today but only for release date week. There's no advance screenings (as of yet, still got fingers crossed) and there's not too many times, so assuming that will change at all. Really hope I get to see an advance screening otherwise I have to wait until June 15th
