Generally speaking, Wal Mart is so simpatico with their design, structure, lay out, etc. If one store has that display out, then all the others do too.

I'll have to check mine after work. Perfect time to get some toys for the nephew's birthday next month, and before I take him to see the film.

They just cleared out a whole section of Dark Knight toys at the Walmart near where I work in Northeast Georgia . I believe they said that they would start putting the items out on Sunday April 28th. I read that somewhere, but for the life of me can't find the link to it.

Edited due to lack of coffee.

The official release said the items would hit the shelves on April 28th

I've also been scouting Barnes & Noble and/or Target on the lookout for those children sticker/activity books, they already have stuff for Iron Man 3 out before the movie so I imagine the same with MOS coming any day now.

yeah, nothing in Northeastern PA. either. though,to be fair, for whatever reason my Wal-Mart NEVER puts the tie-in stuff out on the release dates. IM3 stuff didn't go on the pegs til about 10 days after everyone else, and I distinctly remember looking for a Catwoman from TDKR line last year, and 2 weeks after the official release date in May the pegs were still empty. had to get a guy to bring me a case from the storeroom. so I would NOT be surprised to see anything here until mid-May.

Looks like I'll be getting a t-shirt and poster from Walmart.

It's likely that image was simply a test to show what it will look like ... the stores don't have it yet. They don't start selling the Man of Steel merchandise until next week (28th I believe)

... so don't go to Walmart expecting to see this now. Maybe next week at the earliest.

Some posters ... including a few new ones ... shirts and that cape. haha. That book looks interesting ... wonder what that's got in it. As for the toys, I'm sure the kids and collectors will love them.

I'm a manager at a Walmart store here in South Dakota ... the plan is for cashiers advertising by wearing capes. (yes, I'm serious, that's what I've been told).Man of Steel is going to be all over the store. If it's like other promotions that WB has done, we'll also likely have them wearing Man of Steel buttons on their shirts.

Sweetness. I was just thinking about asking a manager if it would be possible to walkout with one of those card-board cut-outs. Would you allow that?

Generally (at least at the store I work at) we have to destroy them after use ... it happens with all promotional materials. It kind of sucks, because I've heard people ask about things like Halo, Call of Duty banners that we've had in the past but couldn't give away. So many cool cutouts and posters get the baler treatment. I'm sure Henry Cavill's Superman is going to face the same ending.

... if we could keep it, I'd just take it for myself.

I know people find these things from other stores, but not all stores are Walmart and the policies they have to adhere to with promotional material.

Yeah just like the other guy said, I was in Walmart at 11:45 waiting for the limited edition broken batcowl and they didn't even bring the pallet out yet, they went and got it and started putting bane, Catwoman and batman up on the sides and they were like I wish we would give you one but we have to crush them all, there is one guy that always takes it down, you could ask him but we never know when they'll come down. They did give me a batman, Catwoman, and bane pin like they were given to wear since I was the only one there and waited patiently.

When I worked at Wal-Mart when we were done with the displays we threw them away or if an employee wanted them we gave it to them...not sure about customers
