How dare you?

In all seriousness, I'm very accustomed to Brian's sound, so I don't mind the "cheaper" quality.

Cool ... I was a drummer back in the day.

When I first saw the trailer, I found the music good ... but as I watched it more and more, I became almost obsessed with the sound, especially the almost tribal sounds of the percussion. Simply fantastic start for Zimmer. Hope the rest of the score is also Superman worthy. I'm sure it will.

My experience too. Once I got a feel of the structure and the sound, I loved it. The tempo change at 1.15 makes me feel good in a optimistic way, it builds up at 1.30 and is released from 2.00 onwards. A whole soundtrack of this stuff would be a winner.

^ Even with the big distortion, that sounds GREAT (I like the guitar). And as revealed earlier, I'm somewhat critical on Zimmer's recent musical style. So color me impressed.

Two things.

First: Yeah Tyler's Iron Man 3 score is to die for, finally someone at Marvel Studios decided that maybe scores were important instead of filling their soundtracks with teen rock music and overused iron maiden songs.

Second: That snippet of Zimmer's theme on apple app....I'm speechless, He's done it again that magnificent bastard.

Great stuff, some of the guitar stuff reminded me of Inception.

I wonder when this soundtrack will find it's way out. I know it's suppose to be released on the 13th of June...but.

I'm liking what I'm hearing from the trailer music much more. That sounds more like typical action-movie accompaniment...but it is phone recording or what have you, so too early to really tell.

Yeah, that doesn't really scream "Superman" to me the way the trailer music did. It's just nice, Zimmer-y action music, imo. But it's just a small sample from a phone, so I'm not worried.

I really, really, really liked that sample.

It reminds me of the work of some great Japanese composers like Hiroyuki Sawano. Love the whole mix of operatic with that otherworldly synth.

I can just imagine that track swelling at just the right moment during a truly epic part of the film, during the final fight in Metropolis, and breaking out in goosebumps. So much potential with what I'm hearing there, despite the lack of audio quality.

I'm really liking how so far his Superman music seems to be have more of a natural flow to it with a bit more color, as opposed to the Batman scores which had a very tight, controlled almost militaristic feel to them. So far between the trailer music and this sample, his work on MoS feels worlds apart, as it should.

hmm... not digging the guitar too much... it sounds generic to me, unfortunately... i really hope this is isnt superman's theme. the sharp tunes doesnt make it sound inviting or inspiring

I like that sample, especially the guitars. I think this could be something like Zod's theme.

It's early days, but I'm hedging my bets on the trailer music being Superman's theme.

I really like the sample. With the piano, steel guitar, and the drums, it really reminds me of Marty O'Donnell's work on the Halo series. And that is frankly great. I'll always thought that Halo's heroic yet at times alien sound would work as a great jumping off point for a modern musical take on Superman.

Man it's far from generic, this is the tune I was hoping MoS would sound like. It's has the epic fable vibe to it that makes it stand out from the rest.

I think it sounds like it could be from any video game/action movie out there, but maybe that's all it needs to be for where it's used in the film.

I dislike it. Sounds like Zimmer's typical action music mode instead of anything uniquely Superman. Honestly it reminds me so much of some of Two Steps From Hell's recent tracks that I'm getting massive deja vu.
