That was a damn good, damn true read. I've only used my Wii U to play Wii games...which is terribly pathetic. I just yesterday sold Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (for the Wii U) to buy Pandora's Tower (for the Wii)...this is a very depressing time to be a Nintendo fan.

I did that on Friday with Lego City Undercover. Traded it in and got Pandora's Tower.

I correct myself. This is a depressing time to be a Wii U owner, then.

Yes it is, but at one point it was depressing to be a 3DS owner. Not this depressing, but still sad. I hope to **** the Wii U makes a turn around.

Speaking of which, has anyone read anything about The Wonderful 101? What's going on with that?

I think this thing is going to explode later this year around fall/winter. I know with MS and Sony gearing their **** up, I think there may be a must have IP they're going to unleash.

All they gotta do is release a NEW Mario and a NEW Zelda and they'll be way on their way. Hell, release a brand spanking new killer title and they'd be fine. They don't have ANY of that right now. I was at Gamestop today and just could not believe the Wii U selection. Its just ****ing awful. Feels like I'm beating a dead horse here, but it's really ticking me off.

Not a great time for the killer IP though as anyone with a plan on buying one of PS4 & 720 are not likely to be able to afford or be interested in buying a wii U right then as well, even if the game really is amazing. And these same people or at least the ones who are potential multi console owners might have done so if 1 of these titles had come out 6 months earlier (ie around now). For eg if a next gen Zelda or equivalent exclusive had been out reasonably soon after launch I might have got one by now (60-70% chance) but I can't see myself getting one now before, during or probably even within at least 8 months or so after getting a next gen console (in all likelihood the next XBox). The only way I think they could do it around then is give the console a massive price cut at the same time as this killer game in the hope of people planning to get those other consoles having a sudden change of heart, going with the suddenly very cheap console and with the intention of just delaying their next gen purchase for a bit.

I kind of feel this way with everything Nintendo since the GameCube...They piss me off because they release NOTHING for like a year....And then,...BOOM Software explosion!!

The 3DS was exactly the same...I sat and wondered why I plunked down SO much money on it...Now I consider it one of the greatest pieces of hardware I've ever gamed on. True story.

I'll give the WiiU until E3 to show me what it's got. If I'm left unimpressed...I'll sell it. However I have this feeling that there's going to be a software explosion. I go back to the 3DS again...No, it's not as powerful as the Vita but it actually has games I want to play...I feel the WiiU could end up being the same. Not as powerful as the NeXtBox or PS4...But it'll have games on it that I won't be able to get anywhere else.

That Zelda demo pre-release is something that would move systems in a heartbeat.

Awesome! Thanks.

So what is this from? Would love a new Zelda like that. Why do people not think the new next gen one will be like that?

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...o-just-149-199

Asda drops Wii U price to just 149/199

That's about $230 / $310
