It might not be if Pacific Rim is a huge hit.

lol. I really do want this movie to be next after Crimson Peak, but I do see WB going for Pacific Rim 2 if the first is successful. Maybe Del Toro will produce PR2 and direct Heaven Sent, or maybe he'll direct PR2 and produce Heaven Sent. That's if those two movies happen at the same time or close to each other.

you know what I just realized ?

I totally would not at all mind seeing james mcavoy as john Constantine.

like, at all.

infact i'd honestly love that. if they end up getting no one else, it'd be pretty badass.

this came to mind after watching the "filth " trailer.

he's about the closest alternative to McGregor as well.

Can't quite picture it myself, mainly because Professor X should not be Constantine.

and deadpool shouldn't be green lantern. but it still happened. plus everyone suggests michael fassbender for batman.... should magneto really be batman ?

and honestly, mcavoy is a much better actor than ryan reynolds anyway , in my honest opinion.

same here. just trying to come up with other alternatives since they may or may not pick him even though they really should and bettany really deserves more attention than he's getting. probably the most well known role he's gotten in years would probably be tony stark's ****ing computer.

I liked the idea of Hunnam in the role

They could bring in Sting himself to play a 60 year old Constantine. It would be fun and for once Alan Moore would actually watch the movie.

His accent in Green Street Hooligans was so forced he made his scenes unbearable ! i would rather see an actor with deep southern accent play constantine than listen to Hunnam's cockney again. As an actor he is good and he looks the part but he has to fix that accent.

ps : Michael Cain would be a perfect Constantine in the 70s.

i had a dream once that this movie was made and jason statham played constantine. well, it was more like A GIANT ****ING NIGHTMARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyways, i was watching across the universe the other day and it made me think , joe anderson wouldn't be a bad constantine at all. not perfect , but pretty good. and yes, a young michael caine would've definitely been good for the role.

my apologies for always coming on here and never offering casting suggestions for any of the other characters but.... c'mon, do you see my username ? lol

Pacific Rim is tracking very poorly according to Variety, GDT may never work in this town again.

I was watching The Ninth Gate the other day and Johnny Depp's character in the first half of the film is very much like John Constantine. I went trough Club Dumas really fast and the character is closer to John than Lucas Corso from the book.

Johnny pre pirates could make killer Constantine but sitll Bettany is my no 1.

Say what you will about WB, they tend to stick with their talent. they gave Snyder Superman after the Watchmen/Owls/Sucker Punch financial triple enema.

Same with the Wachowskis.

So I'm guessing we want Noomi Rapace or Sibel Kikilli for Zatanna?

Warner Bros. Closing Massive Financing Deal With Dune to Replace Legendary (Exclusive)
UPDATED: The new deal, which would also include Brett Ratner's Ratpac Entertainment, will bring $400 million-plus to the studio.

Warner Bros. Replacing Legendary With Dune Entertainment

The Hollywood Reporter is already reporting that Dune will foot some of the bill for Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel."

A key difference between the deal WB had with Legendary and the deal the studio is negotiating with Dune is that WB will be able to use Dune's $400M as they see fit. Legendary had the option to pick and chose which films they would co-finance. With that difference, is it possible that WB will now look to take more chances and adapt a few B and C-list superhero characters?

I could see Guillermo casting Pacific Rim, True Blood and Eastenders actor Rob Kazinsky as Constantine if he is using someone he worked with before.

Joe Anderson would make a good Constantine as well. Anderson was in The Crazies, The Grey, The Ruins, Twilight, Across The Universe, Control, Becoming Jane and Horns.

So have there been any updates on this? Is it too much to hope that this will by GDT's post-Crimson Peak project?
