I've been saying that for years. She wanders around thinking she's being cheeky and flirty, and just a little night naughty, but she actually in the middle of the room half fallen over drunk shouting "I LOVE COCK!!" between the tears...

I'm sure they could get a showrunner and some Who writers onboard.
Gattiss.

Gattiss.
This is dead-on.

And hilarious.

How can the BBC let the freaking radio show have a better show than the TV programme? It's a really simple solution too, when the four Doctor's show up to record their lines, ask them to suit up, turn the cameras on, give us some cameos, done.

Honestly, Moffat is just getting downright annoying now. Doubly so if it's true Eccleston wouldn't return because of him.

I don't think it's Moffat. Eccleston said he had no plans to ever return back when Davies was running the show, and he & Davies are friends. I think it might be the general behind-the-scenes stuff at the BBC he doesn't care for.

For anyone that's curious, Whistleblower says she's been running a scam on fandom to prove how gullible and pathetic it is.

Interesting.

I do recall reading somewhere that Eccleston was not fond of some of the directors.

Thought it didn't make sense. Good to have it confirmed as bollocks though.

Eccleston criticised the politics and 'culture' around the show, and how he couldn't respect a director who'd go around treating some prop guy (or something like that) like complete crap for no good reason.

Probably won't be making a movie with Christian Bale anytime soon... (Joking).

I don't think any of the Directors from his season are still with the show now though, so that on it's own need not have been an obstacle. However, he has said before he wouldn't want to dip his 'foot in the same pond twice' (never go back, that kind of thing).

For once, this might simply be exactly what's been said: He was asked, but declined saying he was not available. End of story.

Ouch, that's harsh. And a wee bit ageist imo...Nothing wrong with someone whose got some extra mileage still thinking they are attractive if they are still attractive. I think Alex has aged well myself. And River aint like Captain Jack, shagging anything in sight (Now he does "Love Cock", quite literally). She flirts and pouts and all that jazz, but it's more to tease the Doctor than anything else.

My gripe with River is too big a deal was made of her character.

Let's keep in mind that all of River's shameless flirting is directed toward her husband, and he clearly likes it. The point isn't that River is some irresistible sexpot; it's that she's someone who has the Doctor wrapped around her finger. And with the Doctor being the Doctor, a woman catching his attention because she's physically attractive was never going to happen.

I like Clara. She's got that slightly antagonistic "Doctor, what the F?!" attitude I like. But I also like Tegan, so I hardly represent the majority of anything here.

I dunno, even if they do still look good that kind of attitude, for me, is very off putting. Despite the fact that Kingston keeps failing at playing the character as a cheeky, witty, flirt, she seams insistant on leveling it all up each time we met her. I'm convinced River was never actually written this way, and that Kingston butchered it, then they ran with it. She just can't pull it off.

Sadly this. I think the best Clara was the second, victorian era Clara.

The 3rd, present day Clara just seems less enthusiastic about being with the Doctor than the others and she's alot more cynical than the others. At times, it feels like the sole reason she stays with him is out of curiosity.

I like her alot but I prefer the Victorian Clara.

So far, I don't think this Clara is really any different from the others.

But this Clara has actually been around the Doctor for a while, and her attitude is changing from the idea of going on adventures to actually being on them.

Oswin is a big time flirt, fans complain about Moffat's companions all being the same.

Victorian Clara is a flirt and a bit of a stalker, fans complain about Moffat's companions all being the same.

Modern Clara is less keen, fans preferred the other Oswalds.
