I just mean I think they are shady in business for their games in general and nothing big specifically for certain AAA titles.

I think they are way too greedy and will get much worse next-gen and likely be the first developer/publisher to block used games IF MS&Sony gives them the option to..Which I believe they will to all publishers.

I want to completely boycott them..However I admit I'm a sucker for some of their games,I've had all 3 Mass Effect games/I have Madden'NFL13 and am interested in Battlefield 4,I'll likely end up getting the next NFL game too like a fool.

Many of their games are still top quality But many of their business ways just makes me give them both middle fingers..But then I come back and basically am like"sorry sir..keep taking my money,I don't think you deserve it all But here!"

They've been ok for the most part as far as I can tell on the projects by studios they've acquired. Many of their own sports games are AAA but you're probably not talking about that. That's where their main crimes against gamers & humanity in general have taken place.

Sooo...how is this game any different from BF3? Basically...what makes this so much more special that I am willing to part with $60 to buy it instead of just playing BF3?

We dont know yet. I think for current gen systems, there might not be that much of a difference, but with the next gen systems its been rumored you'll see the 64 player MP. If that is accurate, this will deff be a game i wait to purchase on the PS4 or NextBox

Yeah totally, if they can get the player count up for the next systems then this will be a great "launch" title for the systems.

Depends if you usually buy sequels to multiplayer games. Some people are happy staying with a game they like & $60 for anything that isn't revolutionary is too much. From what we've seen, the visuals at least of BF4 are a bigger jump from BF3 than the CoD series from MW1 to BO2 (5 games later).

I hope the next CoD is a significant step forward. If they continue to stand still while Battlefield moves forward at this pace their dominance might start to slightly bleed at least a little.

If the rumors are true about the next Call of Duty, then it doesn't sound like it's going to be a huge step forward. However, I don't agree that Battlefield is "moving forward" any more than Call of Duty is.

I wasn't talking vast gameplay changes, more visuals/atmosphere/immersion & developing advanced game engines (rather than the same one every year) and having a passion for making their game as good as can be (at least on the multiplayer front). I see a pretty big jump there just from this video & the last CoD that made any kind of jump was MW (& also a jump back for CoD3 lol).

And you'd be wrong. The jump from Bad Company 2 to Battlefield 3 was more of an advance than the entire CoD series has created since the games inception. We are about to go through the 3rd version of the Frostbite engine, CoD has barely altered their engine since Modern Warfare.

I greatly prefer SP in general. Good single player campaigns in FPS games is becoming a dying art form. If a military shooter took as much time and care for the single player levels as other games do, it would be the best game in the world.

I don't think the jumps have been any at all. The only thing that has advanced are graphics. Everything else basically exact same and what good is the supposed more powerful engine if you take the destruction away. One thing that needs to be fixed is the bullet drop. They all thought it was so great that the snipers had bullet drop well that's great but how come none of the other guns do. You can shoot someone from across the map with a smg or an assault rifle

Black Ops 2 had a phenomenal, 8 hour campaign.

It was ok, but I wouldn't call it phenomenal in the slightest. The campaigns are all so stale and linear, they might as well be comprised of nothing but rail shooting - that's how little the players control over the gameplay really is.

This is how I want to kill you.

I've tried killing you in the trenches, face-to-face, but that rarely ever happens. You're behind me, with a knife. You're rounding the corner just as I'm turning to look the other way. We bump into each other in the alley and you recover from the surprise a split-second faster than me.

But Commander Mode is back, and I don't have to do that any more.

I will sit back in my chair, tablet in hand, and watch you and your team scurry like mice across a tiny toy battlefield. I will direct my men to your location. I will rain death upon you and cackle like a mad god.

Yes, Dice this will do nicely.

Not many posts in here since E3. That 16 minute (?) gameplay thing they revealed before E3 is pretty much as good as anything else I've seen over the last few days. I'm really excited for this game & for once even the single player.

The multiplayer seems like the stuff of dreams with the fully destructible environments and 64-player matches. Moments like them trapping the tank by blowing the ground open, and the skyscraper toppling down were my favorite.
