Predator 2, as a bookend to an unofficial Predator week. I guess in the series is sort of a tie with AvP for third place.

Also, to hell with Requiem.

Iron Man 3

8/10. Might go up to a 9 after more viewings, but an 8 stands as a pretty great movie in my book.

The English title of the third one is Fear. I guess it's also known as Angst, though.

Beautiful Creatures.
I'm not the target audience but it was an OK movie and it wasn't sickly sentimental.
Plus Emmy Rossum is gorgeous in it.

Maniac. The new one. Personally, I really liked this. I kinda wish it hadn't all been from Elijah Wood's perspective as I would have liked to have seen more of his performance but overall I really dug the movie. He's seriously twisted in it that's for sure

Iron Man 3 (10/10)

It definitely broke the "trilogy" movie curse. Absolutely loved it!

Batman: Under the Red Hood

One of DC Animation's best films, definitely their most thoughtful.

Finally saw this last night after a week of seeing people discuss the twist who saw it early.

I think I would have been really letdown and possibly bitter if I hadn't heard about the twist before seeing the film. I ignored comic canon and enjoyed the movie for what it was and I really liked it. I think the first is still my favorite, but this movie is better than the second film at least.

Kingsley was fantastic as the actor and I enjoyed the humor that came with that role. The part that had me cracking up was when he fell asleep and snaps out of it with a look of surprise and starts drinking his beer again. Doesn't sound all that funny when reading about it, but the way he acted out that quick little bit was great. As for the "Mandarin", he was all right, just typical movie villain acting.

My wife had no idea Kingsley's character was really just a drunk/junky actor, but she guessed near the beginning of the film that Pearce's Killian was in fact the main bad guy. As she said, it was kind of obvious because like in a lot of films, he was kind of the typical evil scientist type that was out for revenge in a way. I do think it was great how the movie kind of flipped the typical villain role in regards to the Mandarin/Actor(I can't remember the name of Kingsley's real character), but I only say kind of because as I just pointed out, it was a bit obvious and cliche with Killian as your somewhat typical evil scientist. So I do think some fans are in fact trying to make this film sound just a tad bit smarter than it really is.

I really enjoyed the action despite Tony being out of the suit a lot of the film, but then again, in the previous two films he wasn't in the suit for the majority of the time either. As for the Air Force One scene, I thought it was going to be a bit far fetched or silly looking but Black pulled it of well. The final action scene had some really good moments but was also a bit of a mess in some areas.

I'm having trouble deciding on what rating to give this film, but I'm thinking 3.5/5 or maybe just a tad higher. I can't recall a third film in a trilogy being this good, but I guess it's not that hard to achieve when the second film was fairly weak. As for RDJ, I really hope he returns for Avengers 2 and I'm crossing my fingers he'll make an appearance in Avengers 3 if that's the film we're going to have to wait for to see them battle Thanos. I know that's quite a few years off, but it would be disappointing to see any of the main Avengers cast get replaced by the time they fight Thanos, it just wouldn't be the same. I say just don't make anymore IM films with RDJ to give him a break so he can pick other roles for now.

The end credit scene was great and got a good number of laughs and some clapping in the theater. Some fans are disappointed with it, but I guess they just wanted more of an in your face Avengers reference or nod to what's to come. I really can't wait to see where they take RDJ and Ruffalos friendship in Avengers 2.

One last thing. Seeing Favreau with long hair in the beginning of the film was damn funny. Wasn't expecting that at all. My wife was so happy at the end of the film when Stark rescued his little helper robot. I was too to be honest, I've come to love that machine after three films.

Iron Man 3 -- 7/10

Not as good as I thought it would be, but it's at least in the same league as other 3rd movies like The Dark Knight Rises.
